See I would say the opposite. The parade is almost always in MK. I have seen Barry Bonds and Micheal Phelps both at the MK

The CM I spoke with said they wouldn't know where the parade would be held until Monday (Feb. 7) morning. I would just plan on asking at your resort that morning.

There are other threads that have been started in this regard, but I wanted to let everyone know who is suscribed to this thread that Disney has cancelled the MVP parade!!!!! UGH! What a bummer!

Correct! It was in our local paper that Disney wont have anything to do with the superbowl this year.

That's pretty much it. Without the MVP stating they're going to WDW, there is no MVP for a parade!!!!

There is another thread on the DIS that has a link to FOX news that says that the official word is that it "doesn't fit in with this years advertising campaign". Since they are advertising DL 50th anniversary and the MYW pacages.

My personal opinion is that's nonsense! I'm sure over the past 19 years there have been plenty of other advertising campaigns in full swing during the SB, WS and any other sporting event they host, never mind all the other events they host simultaneously ie: Super Soap Weekend, the Garden Festival, Wine Festival etc. JMHO.

I heard disney wasn't having the parade this year. My son was really looking forward to seeing Donovan in the commercials.

Slightly off topic but I wonder if Disney's decision to pull the "I'm going to Disney World" Superbowl ad had anything to do with all the advertising they are doing through NASCAR now? Disney has sponsered the Daytona 500 last year and this year so maybe they decided to shift their focus to that sport which from an advertising standpoint is money better spent.

I heard on ESPN that this will be the first year since they started the ad campaign that they won't be doing the "I'm going to Disney World" thing. Apparently, they are focusing on other promotions. It will be back next year.
