Super 8 DL Park

I have reservations in Oct. Got it for about $35 per night all taxes included. With the money we will save on breakfast in addition to the pricing, I can live with a lot of imperfections, and it doesn't seem too far. We are only staying 3 nights though, and anything seems manageable for that amount. I used the savings to take us to the Halloween party:thumbsup2

not sure which one you are asking about. I stay at the one on Katella for about 80% if my trips. Not a lot of fancy shmancy stuff, but a good clean room at a great price. I do not mind the walk to the park, but I have not gone with small children. I have 4 reservations set up for them right now. One for next weekend, one for June, one for July, and one for the Disneyland Half Marathon.

RENThead09,

I was wondering how long does it take you to walk to Dl. from the Katella property Super 8?

Excellent regarding your weight loss! Yay!!

We just stayed there in April. I thought it was okay but had a few issues with it. It was pretty clean and the furniture and bath curtain looked new. The walk to DLR wasn't bad. I think it took about 15 minutes which was fine since DS was in a stroller. We were there for 2 days so the walk didn't bother us but if I was going to stay much longer I think it would get to be too much. It's actually about the same distance as walking to the center of the Mickey and Friends parking structure for those of you who may have made that walk before. The breakfast was okay. I actually brought my own cheerios since I have to have those in the morning and just used their milk, bowls and spoons. I think they had 2 cereals available and doughnuts.

The bad things we encountered were no frige even though we reserved one for DS's special dietary needs and were counting on it to keep his food cold. Fortunately we brought our cooler with us so we were able to keep the food on ice but it was kind of a pain to have to do. The lady at the front desk was not very friendly when we checked in and was not very appologetic or accomodating about the fridge situation. The clock in our room was 30 minutes slow when we checked in which made us late for dinner since we didn't realize it was wrong. We tried to change it but after about an hour it started flashing and then it reset itself to 12:00 but continued to add the minutes so it always had some crazy time. We never could get it to stop flashing so we covered it up and thankfully had our own alarm clock. The hairdryer also didn't work and there were holes in the bathroom walls. Not holes that went all the way through but big gashes.

It was a good price but I would have to rethink staying there again, mainly because of the fridge which I know wouldn't be an issue for everyone. Hope that helps!

For the most part in my travels I have found that you get what you pay for. It does not cost much more than 40/50 night to get a reasonable place to stay that may not have a bunch unacceptables, then there are those places that are way out of line for what you get. It is your wallet.

I stayed on the one on Ball Rd. and Disneyland Dr. in Dec. 07. It was okay, nothing special. I pretty tough walk to the Mickey Tram since it is uphill!

That is why I rode ART, when I stayed at Days Inn on West Ball Rd. which is not far from the Super 8 to which you speak of. I looked up hill, and what with it being August heat and humidity, no way Jose, is what Jose would also say in his Tiki Room. Of course, he can fly there and back. :) he he!

We were there for Xmas and it was super windy! We ended up paying for parking the 2nd day, so not worth the walk. It was also the "long way around" since you had to cross to the far side of the street because there wasn't a sidewalk on the parking lot side! The nice thing was the AM/PM right there for waters and sodas and lunchables on the way to the park.
