I understand they have a pretty good selection, but how is the food?

Sunshine Seasons is our counter service restaurant of choice at Epcot.
If you are on the dining plan it is probably the best value anywhere.
They have sandwiches, chicken caeser salads, flatbread, and wonderful desserts.

I like both of these restaurants. Sunshine Seasons is great - there's a huge selection, with some unique choices, and everything I've had there has been very good. Cantina de San Angel is typical Mexican fast-food type food, but everything has always been fresh and tasty when I've been there, and the servings are very generous.

Sunshine Seasons is fantastic, easily our favorite CS at Disney now that it's been refurbished.

Cantina, it's about Taco Bell quality or a little better, *shrug*. If you want a quick Tex Mex fix, it works.

Funny, I have the opposite opinion. I LOVE the food at the Cantina. My boyfriend and I shared a meal there for dinner and I loved it so much we had to go back up to the counter and get another one!

And I ate at Sunshine and thought it was just "eh". There are so nice options to choose from rather than the usual burgers and chicken fingers, but I don't remember being all that impressed with the taste of what we got.

Sunshine Seasons was great on my last trip with a very pickey 2 1/2 year old. I was able to get her hard boiled eggs and strawberries. It was 1 of maybe 5 meals she ate on the weeklong trip-and the other meals were hot dogs and chicken fingers. I was really pleased with the options there. I had a really nice salad there too. And it is a great place to have a snack while waiting for your Soarin fast pass time.

I've only tried Cantina once in 1997 and wasn't impressed.

We ate at Sunshine seasons twice in Oct. It has a nice selection and for CS, was pretty impressive. They have great desserts. It is quite noisey though but that didn't bother us. We haven't eaten at Cantina for several years so can't comment on it.

Glad to hear Sunshine Seasons is a good choice.. I have it on my list of cs foods as I will be on the dining plan..

Sunshine Seasons is good - but as another poster said - LOUD, as it is in the busy area right outside of SOARIN' and The Land. It's a good place to kill soem time while waiting for that SOARIN' Fastpass time!

The have a pretty wide variety of foods DD love the Mac and Cheese which came on the Mickey Head plate and the sushi (California Rolls). I've had a couple great salads there. I LOVE their Rice Krispy treats - by far the BEST I have ever had. All the desserts look yummy!

Loved Sunshine Seasons--fresh foods, good selection. Try the sandwiches on foccocia (sp?) bread. Really tasty.

Cantina was just ok to us. I actually prefer the food at Taco Bell, for a fraction of the cost. Plus, the birds there were very aggressive. Ruined the atmosphere for me.

Enjoy!

We had a great meal here, more than enough food for Dd and I to share lunch. We split the black forrest ham sandwich and i had the bean soup and she ate the worms and dirt dessert.

Well, we had lunch at Cantina and it was the worst CS meal we had. The food was undercooked and just horrible. There were some weird things in the chicken salad too. We could not eat the food. I am not a picky eater by any man was it bad. We ended up getting our credits back for that meal since we were so dissatisfied. I would not recommend eating there

I feel the same way - the new and improved Seasons is terrific - I had their grilled salmon two evenings in a row and their kids' meals are more interesting than the standard pizza and chicken tenders. the Cantina is good for a quick meal because it never seems crowded but the meal, to me, is always mediocre.

Well, we seem to be in the minority here, but we LOVE Cantina de San Angel!!! :teeth: We probably eat here twice every trip.

We both like the get the Plato Combinacion & 2 churros for dessert. We think the food is great for a CS & prefer to eat here over the indoor & highly priced restaurant in Mexico. :thumbsup2

At Sunshine Seasons, try the chocolate chip muffins for breakfast! They're great - I got one almost every day (and even took a couple home with me!).

Well I will definitely put Sunshine on my cs list! I'll have to wait and see on Cantina. Thanks for everyones input!

Seasons in the Land just redone and great menu selection--also great deal if using meal plan.

Mexico--dark and cramped. Cool overlooking rio de la tiempo ride. Not typical American Mexican restaurant with more of a fancier menu. I think this is managed by same people who do the Pepper Grill at CSR. Good or bad -- dont use the international college students in restaurant.

Different strokes for different folks, but we have eaten at the Cantina 3 times and it has been good and fresh. I usually get a beef taco salad. I think they only list the chicken taco salad on the menu but you can get ground beef.

I can only comment on the Cantina because we didn't eat at Sunshine Seasons. We didn't care for San Angel Cantina, even though we were starving it was just edible. In all fairness I lived in Mexico and that's not authentic stuff. I guess I was hoping for authentic. I had the combo platter and I'd recommend using the money/credits elsewhere.
