Hi, has anybody travelled with TCD on their Sunshine Premium Seats, we have booked and are due to fly September, interested what other people think.

Hi boxerdog,

I haven't travelled with TCD, Preimum or otherwise but I'm sure someone else will be able to help :)

Welcome to the Dis - where are you staying?

Hi, we are on our 4th visit and we stay in Clermont in a lovely villa. On our 1st visit we stayed in Sheraton World in International Drive, but since then we have found the villa to be much better as you have more room and a swimming pool to yourself. We have used TCD twice but always travelled in economy, we found them to be fine both times with a delay of around 1 hour. Last year we used Virgin and we still had a delay of 1 hour so that is why we decided to use TCD again but use the money we saved on upgrading. I am just dying to know if it is worth the extra or not, I know that you get the extra legroom, but was just wondering about everything else. If no one knows we will just have to wait until September.

in my opinion sp is worth every penny. The extra room made all the difference on the long flight. You also get seat back tv screens and priority check in,boarding and luggage collection. Also that extra baggage allowance comes in handy.
We are travelling sp again next year, couldn't go back to economy now.

Hi, the brochure says that Sunshine First has tv's on the back of the chair and not Sunshine Premium, which is why I was wondering if anyone had used SP lately.

We have been Sunshine First with TCD twice and never had a seat back TV! First time we got a huge video player on our knees and the second time we got a more modern one but still on your knee. Uncomfortable having to have your table out for most of the journey.

Food reasonable, service can be indifferent and comfort OK, not as good as First Choice!!!

We have not used TCD for 18 months now, as we have found better and cheaper options, i.e. First Choice Premier service and even PE seats with Virgin worked out cheaper than TCD.

My dad sat in TCD Upper Deck and said it was one of the comfortable flights hes had.

We personally would not pay the extra for TCD Sunshine First unless they have looked to modernise the planes.

Have fun

My wife and I flew Sunshine Premium from Manchester in January. Excellent experience, and good value. Definitely worth the upgrade. :)

A couple of pictures for you :cool1:

The pictures look great as long as their is more room in the seats and not so much queueing we'll be happy.

so, are there seat back tvs or not? :confused3

Yup.

Seat back TVs, priority check in and good leg room. Only concern is the seating plan, which is 2-3. If two are travelling together, insist on a "two" if you can.

There are DEFINATELY seat back tvs.We flew with them in June.

I have just telephoned TCD and they told me that it is only Sunshine First and not Sunshine Premium which have tv's in the back of the seat. I am a little confused, perhaps others just got lucky, or TCD have got it wrong. I did have a problem when I originally booked the seats with their customer services so I would not be surprised if they have got it wrong.

It might not be every plane. The 747 from Manchester in January definitely did have tvs. See the photo above!! :thumbsup2

I don't think they like to advertise the fact that they do! :thumbsup2
But...the MAN - Gatwick - Glasgow & Cardiff all have them(mainly Cause they are all the same two planes :rotfl: ) ...but if you are on the back-up aircraft - my answer is ,i don't know! :confused3
