Sunshine or The Fountains?

We ran out of points for an on property stay, and will likely need to book at either The Sunshine Resort or The Fountains. Does anyone have experience with either of these? It will be all adults, no car, and they will likely spend most of their time ON WDW properties. We have 2 other villas booked at Saratoga Springs and Old Key West, but we need room for 6 more adults.
Thanks!

I've stayed in both and liked them both, for different reasons. The Fountains is much larger and busier, with more of a "resort" feel to it. It has two huge pools (one with slides and a children's play area and zero entry), and a lake and ponds with fountains and a little restaurant and all. OTOH, Orlando Sunshine is a very small resort, basically just two buildings in an "L" with a basic pool and a tennis court in the area between. I like the little waterfall in Sunshine's hot tub. :) The people who work at Sunshine are great, really made us feel at home.

Personally, I would not like staying in either without a car if I was wanting to go to WDW. Although technically I'd want a car even if I were onsite. :p Anyhow, the Fountains is considerably closer to the parks than Orlando Sunshine, and driving from the Fountains you don't have to get on I-4 (or any freeway) to get to the parks. The Fountains has a shuttle to the parks, or did last I knew, but it's an extra fee and I don't know how often it runs. Both resorts are on a local bus system route, and there's a trolly system that goes beside them both as well, but the trolly system doesn't go to Disney and getting there on the regular bus system would require at least one transfer and perhaps more. I would definitely call and get some info on how often the shuttle runs before settling on the Fountains.

Although I've never stayed there, Bonnet Creek has the best shuttle schedule I've seen, and would be my first choice if I had no car and wanted to do the parks but not stay onsite. I know I've talked to someone who used the Fountain shuttles, which they thought were okay, but I remember thinking I wouldn't be thrilled with the shuttle schedule. Sorry I can't remember more.
