Sunshine Dream Lift ~ April 12, 2011

Greetings Everyone ~ just wanted to share some exciting news from my household

My 14 year old son Joshua is going on a "Dream Lift" tomorrow to Disney for one day!!!

They fly from Hamilton Ontario @ 6am and will return the same day around midnight......

This wonderful organization is taking 80 Special Needs kids along with police, firemen, doctors etc. volunteers for the day.

I would appreciate lots of thoughts & prayers for these special young people to have a "magical" day and safe travels.......

That's something really special. I hope that they have a wonderful time today. It really touches me to see. I've done some work with other organizations that make wishes come true.

The fact that they are able to make this happen for such a large group of people is just amazing.

Looking forward to following their day.

Everyone was soooo excited at the airport this morning......all the kids were just great ~ a few were looking pretty tired but I'm sure they had a nap on the plane ~ yeah right!

Last night was the meeting to give the parents & volunteers all their instructions for this morning......the kids got to meet their "buddies" and fellow kids.....it was an amazing experience to see so many happy faces when normally we see them in doctor's waiting rooms with sad ones.

The Dream Lift was HUGE success ~ my son had the time of his life

He really formed a bond with his "buddy" for the day and we are looking forward to seeing him again soon.

The Orange County fire & police were amazing with them.......as well as they volunteers here in Hamilton/Brantford.
