I know there was info on the difference between these two safaris at AKV, but I don't remember what the specifics are.

What is the difference between the two? Do you have to be in concierge for both or can anyone do them? How long are they and what is the cost? Do they both take place at AKV, or is one at the park? How far out can they be booked?

Thanks for any and all info you can provide!

The Sunrise Safari can only be booked if you are staying at AKL or AKV Concierge level. It is an early morning safari at AK before the park opens and includes a buffet breakfast at Pizzafari. This safari costs about $60 and requires park admission.

The Wanyama safari (i.e. the sunset safari) can be booked by anyone who stays at AKL. However it is more expensive if you are not staying concierge level. Also there is a minimum age for this safari. This safari takes place on the savannahs at AKL and includes a family stype dinner at Jiko. This safari costs $160 per person ($210 per person if you are not CL)

The Sunrise Safari is offered twice a week: Sunday and Thursday morning. You have to be staying CL the night before your safari (Sat night or Wed night) though I've read a couple of reports of people being able to participate even though they were checking in the morning of their safari (Sunday or Thursday).

The Wanyama Safari is offered four days a week, I think, but I can't remember exactly which days. We did ours mid week and I was told that the weekday safaris are less crowded than the weekend safaris.
