Sunset Safari start time?

I'm going to WDW during the longest days of the year. Sunset will be 8:30.

What time does the special sunset safari begin?

We have safari FP for 7:30 and Jungle Book FP for the 9:00 show.

I'm guessing sunset? Sunset is 8:17 pm the day we are going so we are doing the 9 pm show and then going directly to the Safari.

Bumping because I'd like to know this too. It's not really dark here right now until 8.30-ish, so I'm assuming it might start then but I'd love a firm answer if anyone has one.

I think it would have to be after sunset at least, so with a FP starting at 7:30 you might get the effects if you get in line right around 8:30 but it truly won't be dark until about 9pm.

Sunset for us in June is around 8:25 so we got a FP for 9:30.

I got the safari for 6 Everest for 720 and the jungle book for 825 but really wanted the Safari for "night time"

Well for reference to "night time", I have FP+ for Kilimanjaro Safaris for 8:55 - 9:55 PM Friday, May 27.
