Sunscreen on freshly painted walls

Not sure if this the right place for this question. I just recently painted the walls in my Dgds room. The other day our 4yo got hold of a sunscreen stick and smeared it all over the wall. I have tried dish soap & warm water, regular soap & warm water, alcohol, a degreaser and just hot water to try to remove the residue. Nothing is taking it off. The paint is coming off but the sunscreen remains. I will have to repaint the wall but I need to remove the sticky residue 1st. I don't know what else to try. HELP!!!

My only thoughts are items that will strip paint, but since you said you're going to repaint....(such a bummer)...Goof Off, Greased Lightening, GoJo hand cleaner (auto section).

I never thought of using goof off. I think I might have some goo gone around. I will try that. Thank you!!

You will probably need to use a TSP mixture, rinse, then repaint.

I'm sorry to lol at you but, oh what a memory your 4yo just made.

Try water and magic eraser. You have washed the wall to much the paint is going to rub off. Hair dryer and dry cotton towel might work.

If nothing gets it off just several layers of kills primer over it before painting.
