Just wondering. I've never been to WDW in the winter months and I didn't know if I should pack sunscreen or not? I will also have my DD3 with me. Does she need sunscreen in December?

I'd put it on. No matter what time of the year it is, being in the sun all day you'd burn.

We aren't the Sunshine State for nothing... better safe than sorry. While the sun isn't as strong as it is in the summer here, you can still get a burn- especially with that "Northern Winter Flourescent White Glow" that you've probably got going by now! (I am a former Northerner... no offense intended :)

Enjoy your stay... beware- visiting FL in the winter may make you want to live here forever... that's how I got here.

I would definitely use sunscreen. Back in January of 1997, my DH got sunburnt while at WDW. :sunny: Have a great trip!!!:Pinkbounc

Thanks for the advice everyone. I was clueless about using sunscreen in the winter months.

You should definitely use sunscreen in the winter no matter where you are. Obviously, if you are in a warm place and wearing shorts and t-shirts, you need it. But even up North, if you will be outside for any period of time, you should apply sunscreen to your face or any other exposed area like your hands.

If it is light out then use sunscreen. It's the UV rays that get you no matter what time of year and no matter if it is cloudy or not. Be sure to use a UVA/UVB sunblock. The UV rays peak between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
