hi there disers, me & my fiance are getting married at wdw in march & wanted to treat our parents to a special meal & event with us, can we arragne for the sunrise safari since we will be staying concierge at the yacht club for us 5? (our parents will be staying onsite at the wl & asm) also can anyone tell me more about the sunrise safari? does it include breakfast?

The Sunrise Safari is only for Concierge guests at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

You are eligible as concierge guests to go on the "Wildlife Discovery Excursion". Here's what it says on the Disney website:

"Ability to participate in the Wildlife Discovery Excursion — an exclusive guided tour of Kilimanjaro Safaris® at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park — offered only to a limited number of Club Concierge-level Guests for an additional fee"

I believe this is during park hours at AK though. You might try to arrange a dining event somewhere separately--depending on your budget, all kinds of amazing things are possible. Talk to your wedding planner or look at the wedding forum here, they can tell you about all the special things you can arrange.

in that case i might just book the backstage safari tour or i'll check with the yc concierge team about the wildlife discovery excursion & booking breakfast at boma for us 5. thanks for the info!

The Wildlife Discovery Excursion is only offered to Resort Concierge guests. It is a one-hour tour offered at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The cost is $45/person and a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Disney Wildlife Conservation Fund. I recieved the flyer from the BC concierge staff. We are going in December as well. It also says that "this adventure takes you beyond the Safari Trail, stopping at special observation and photo areas" througout the savannah and reserve.

As Chamonix mentioned, based on budget, you do have other options. Grand Gatherings offers a safari celebration dinner, which would include a private guided tour of the savannah followed by dinner at the Tusker House.

There's also an Int'l dinner and Illuminations dessert offering available at Epcot.

These are designed for a minimum of 8 guests, but can be arranged for fewer. I've had the pleasure of working with the IPO staff at the YC and they are amazing. Run a few ideas by them and see what they can come up with for you.
