Sunrise safari at AKL - only concierge guests??

Hi. Is there any way to participate in the sunrise safari other than being a concierge guest at AKL? I thought maybe the grand gathering could include that. Anyone know about this?

You may want to call CRO. I thought I saw something in either the AP newsletter or the Disney Visa about this with a Grand Gathering Group. Not sure if it's the Sunrise Safari, but I could have sworn I read something about a special group "thing" at AK.

Okay - my bad! I just found my Disney Rewards Newsletter. The article I had read is about a Disney Dream Auction they are doing for card members only.

One of the prizes that card members can bid on is an African Safari Adventure for yourself & 7 guests.

I apologize for providing the wrong information initially.

The grand gatherings safari is offered. It is a evening safari with a character? dinner following it. I was told they offer it on Sundays and Thursday but it is subject to change. It has to be reserved 90 days ahead of time. You have to be signed up for magical gatherings with a group of 8 people at least and 8 people age 3 and over have to attend or you are not eligible - 80% have to be staying on the disney resort of those 8 and in your group. The cost is about $60 per adult and $20 for age 3-9.

If you go onto the disney website and click on the grand gatherings special events it describes it there.

Hope I got it right and wasn't too confusing.
