Does the sunrise safari cost the same for adults and children or are the children discounted? My DDs will be 6 and almost 3 when we plan to go - are children that young allowed to go for that matter?

thanks in advance for any info.

I do know that they are allowed to go and I believe that there's a reduced price for kids, but not sure what it is.

They are allowed to go, and there is a reduced price ($35 might be right, but don't quote me on that.) Keep in mind that this is not the regular safari, and not all kids want to be seated quietly in the safari vehicle for 45 minutes in the early morning when they are full of energy.

We've taken it twice, and the first time it was all but ruined by children who should not have been on it--they just weren't able to sit quietly and enjoy it, and they were melting down on the ride.

The second time there were also some toddlers, they were well behaved but towards the end were getting very antsy, I think had it lasted another five minutes they would have become disruptive. You know your chldren best, but if they tend to be energetic in the morning you might want to wait a couple of years before trying this one. It's a lot of money to spend if your children aren't going to be able to enjoy it.

Cost for adults - $49.95
Cost for children $24.95

Just called the other day and Andrea gave me these prices when I booked our safari.

We just went (last week) with our just 7 yr old DD....she loved it and I would have not hesitated to take her even if she was just 2. She loves things like that and always has (would sit thru a ballet in awe at the age of 2!)...but all kids are different and I think you need to be aware of your child and their behavior. Our DD was the youngest child on the safari...and we had 2 buses...packed safari...I can see how and unruly kid could ruin the whole event...I can't remember the price for her but I think it was $29.95.

We went on the safari in June when our kids were 4 & 8. Another one here saying you know your kids best and how they would do. Our 4 yo got a little antsy toward the end - considering we had to be there early and we woke her up. There was another family there with 3 children and the Mom did not have a good time since her youngest (3) would not sit still and he just wanted OUT. Once the safari starts there is no getting off.

It is a GREAT trip and very popular so it's full. Only you can decide if your children are ready for it. It's an expensive morning if your child don't like it. The animals are always great, but some kids don't like the idea of being restrained for so long.

Have fun no matter what you do!

Thanks again everyone. My youngest will almost be 3 by that time. Her behavior is unpredictable now:Pinkbounc . I will have to decide whether we will split up - my DD6 and one parent and the other stay with the 3 year old or maybe she will calm by next November and we can all go. hmmmm. I guess I will wait and see.

You have plenty of time to decide. :) There were toddlers on our safari that were very quiet and had a great time. I would suggest making reservations as soon as you can. You can always cancel if you don't think she would enjoy it.
