We leave tomorrow so I'm packing today and I'd love some thoughts from fellow females. :)

My family consists of me, my 2 daughters, ages 6 and 10, and my husband.

I am 'that' mom who likes to match her girls while in Disney and I did buy us all coordinating sundresses to wear one day. (the rest are matching t-shirts for all 4 of us!)

I was kind of thinking of wearing them to a dinner and then into the park, later in the day/evening. However, we love to ride the rides!!!!

So...

What rides would you absolutely NOT go on in a sundress? And why?

I wear sundresses and love it. Light weight, comfy and look nice when we head to dinner. AS long as you can move, step into rides as needed comfortably no problem. Some ppl have chafing issues with legs but not something I experienced personally
we leave tomorrow too! have fun

I typically wear sundresses everyday that I'm there, and I have not had issues with any of the rides. :thumbsup2

I always wear sundresses at Disney, and the only ride I had a little trouble on (and it only happened once after I learned my lesson) was Space Mountain. When I stepped into the ride and went to sit down, my dress came up a bit in front and gave people a bit more of a view than they had bargained for. LOL  Now I just make sure I hold on to the front of my dress when sitting down. If you are wearing a longer sundress, I don't think it'll be a problem.

Other than that, no issues on any other rides.

It shouldn't be a problem...I'm taking a sun dress with me this year....have a wonderful time.

I can't think of any rides I wouldn't wear a dress on. If I was taking a six-year-old in a dress, I'd probably have her wear shorts under it. Little girls aren't always that graceful climbing in and out of things.

Space Mountain can be a bit tough to get out of in a dress. Heck, its hard to get out of even in shorts!

I'm so glad you posted this! We're going in September and I have dresses for my girls in the evenings. I was a little worried they may have trouble with them blowing and such on rides. Glad it doesn't seem to be an issue! :)

Another vote for sundresses. Me, my DD 16, and DD 17 all wear them most days in the parks.

This. Whenever DD4 wears dresses or skirts, I always have her wear shorts underneath.

I like wearing sundresses too. I always wear a pair of bike shorts underneath them though. Same with DD.

I love wearing sundresses in the parks - light, comfortable, and dry quickly after going on Splash Mountain or if it rains. There are no rides that I would hesitate to go on just because I was wearing a dress (although I do agree with other posters that Space Mountain can be trickier than most to get in/out of gracefully!).

Thanks for the tips! I was thinking of getting some light sundresses to wear to be cool in the parks... Now I know it will work just fine!

I'm sure your husband will look very sweet. Remind him to tuck his sundress under his thighs when he sits down on a ride.

:scared:

Your poor husband...

(I am only kidding). :rotfl:

My husband LOVES it - so there :rotfl2: He looks forward to our matching shirts because he says it makes us more "Disney" and shows he is proud of us being a family together.

I love him (would like to put the loving smiley in here but I can't get to the big list of smilies :sad1:

Sundresses are perfect for the parks. A great way to keep cool, in order to prevent chaffing I wear a pair of light cotton bicycle shorts underneath (from Wal-Mart etc). The shorts also help with any sort of "accidents" that may occur from wearing a dress. :thumbsup2
