We've made it home, finally. It's been over a year since our last vacation, and more than three years since we've stayed here at the BoardWalk Villas, our original home resort. I remember why I like it so much: It's so convenient!
It was strange, though -- the room number they gave us. We reserved a two bedroom, and they gave us the room number of the studio, instead of the attached one bedroom. I got a little freaked out when I opened the door and it was the studio, but of course that was just me. I suppose they gave us the room number of the studio because the one bedroom has the higher number.
The room is in great condition. Everything is clean, and operable. They even came in an fixed a couple of things we had no idea were broken.
We're on the second floor this time (nothing was available on a higher floor, which we had requested -- so remember, requests are just requests!!!) I don't really mind much though. I don't miss having to wait for the elevator, and we have a unique view -- at least one we've never had before -- just over the umbrellas of Big River Grill.
There was a bit of a hassle with our Staples delivery. From what I could gather, the guy with the key to the package room went home without passing the key off to anyone. So it took quite a few hours to get our water. When they finally delivered it, they refused a gratuity cousin Melody tried to give them. Very classy.
There are a couple of faint insecure wireless internet signals in the area, including one from Big River Grill downstairs, but no where near powerful enough to use. I subscribed to the wired internet service ($9.95 per day). I had to call tech support to get a special code because my original subscription attempts wouldn't take. <shrug> Obviously the service works! It's nice being connected while on vacation.
