Any particular brand or type (cream, spray, stick) of sunblock you would prefer for an 8 month old? And why? Thank you!!

I like to use the waterbabies brand stick for their face and just regular waterbabies lotion for the rest of their bodies. The stick looks like an oversized chapstick tube.

We found last year that the Spray made by coppertone worked the best. It was very easy to apply especially on a wiggly baby;it was the aeresol can not the pump spray. The only drawback was that we ran out quite quickly. We were at the beach in Hilton Head for a week and used at least 3 cans on the 3 of us. I do reccommend a non-migrating sunblock stick for the face. That way if your little one gets sweaty or starts crying the sunblock doesn't run into the eyes. We got one made by Hawaiian Tropic, but I think coppertone has one too. Also, make sure those babies are wearing hats with a wide brim--that cuts so much of the sun off the face and ears as well! :sunny:

we were told that using a zinc oxide is better because it's a full sunblock -

Love baby faces and tender places or water babies. Use it for myself as I burn really easily. In fact started using it when I was a teenager and a lifeguard. Both of my kids are fair and haven't burned yet.

I like the Avon Skin So Soft that combines sunscreen with bug repellant - but I live in an area that has bugs that look like they're on steroids. It's also blue, but rubs on clear and you can make sure you don't miss a spot.

I ask my son's pediatrician (also 8 months at time of travel) and he said to use an adult sunscreen designed specifically for the face.
