Summer's Planning Journal 08/20 Update 08/10/07

We arrive on Friday the 17th with first night ADR at 720 at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Saturday Ohana at 650, Sunday (SEaworld) then dinner at LeCellier at 740.

Hmmm, what is the rest of your schedule like?

17th Seaworld
18th Epcot
19th MGM
20th Wedding
21st MK
22nd AK

Maybe we could meet for a drink at CBR in the evening instead?

Here is our schedule: arrive the 17th no parks, Saturday Animal Kingdom AM Ohana dinner, Sunday the 19th SeaWorld...Epcot at night for dinner, Monday MGM dinner at Spoodles, Tuesday the 21, Magic Kingdom in the AM, Epcot fro dinner Coral Reef, Wednesday Animal Kingdom am and MGM dinner, thursday wedding!!!! then Magic Kingdom dinner, Friday dinner at wolfgang pucks...Meeting up at the Caribbean on either Friday or Saturday sounds good or maybe Magic Kingdom on Tuesday! Very exciting!

OMG. I just read 25 pages of your PJ. I think I was at the computer for at least 2 hours. Everything sounds and looks great. I am so excited for you. I have been married for 11 years in Oct and plan to do a vow renewal for our 25th anniversary in Disney. I love reading all the wedding planning things. I wish I did a Disney wedding but did not know about it ten years ago. Anyway all your choices look absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see more.

gillian - Meeting up at CBR is probably the best thing to do, I have no idea what time we would get to MK on the Tuesday as it's the day after the wedding and I intend to sleep in
How many people are coming down for your wedding?, I searched again but I can't seem to find your PJ, I know I've read it Can you post a link for me? We are gonna try and catch Illuminations on Friday night but will be coming back straight after that to CBR. If we miss it we will watch Illuminations the next night. So we should be back about 10pm. Is that too late? Is there places open to drink at CBR at that time? LOL, I have no clue as I've never been to Disney before. Let me know what you think is best. I would love to meet you, this is so exciting

Okay, I am panicing slightly. My wedding dress hasn't arrived yet The latest day for arrival is Aug 1st (tomorrow) but I was told by the bridal salon manager that it always arrives long before the due date. My salon is closed today so if it doesn't arrive tomorrow, it will be LATE!!! I have it booked in for August 7th to get altered and I leave August 15th, I really am panicing now, I honestly thought it would be here by now. She told me it was on it's way over 2 weeks ago I now have to wait until tomorrow 'til I can call her, I'm not happy

Summer, at this point, relax! all you're doing is putting yourself into a panic. and yes, today is the 30th so it's probable that your gown will be in tomorrow - keep us updated, ok?

Thanks Michelle, Morgan is sitting beside me at the moment. I am really lucky my boss has allowed me to take him into work. He is going in for more blood tests tomorrow, but I have seen a huge improvement. His Jaundice is gone and he is eating, drinking and most importantly not throwing up. I am praying he gets good results tomorrow, it would certainly relieve the stress I am feeling at the moment.

how wonderful of your boss - I am really glad he is feeling better!

as for the stress, honey you're getting married in less than 30 days!!! stress is so normal right now, you just cannot let it take over.. whenever you feel it getting to you, stop what you are doing, take a deep breath and think about the truly good things in your life. it'll help keep things in perspective for you.

I wanted to say everything that Michelle said but couldn't find the words, just sit back and enjoy the excitement - your going to Disney in less than a month to marry your DF and to enjoy a holiday of a lifetime!!

Who's Morgan (sorry I've missed this - hope he's ok) Where do you work? I want a boss like yours xx

Morgan is my 5 year old Shetland Collie. He has had serious liver problems these last few weeks and at one point I thought I was going to lose him, he seems to be on the mend though so I'm just praying he continuse to get better.
I work in a very small office, it looks like one of those posh and very expensive houses, it's a technical authoring company and there is only 6 of us there. My boss said Morgan could come to work just now until I feel more comfortable leaving him at home. He doesn't bother anyone, he is really quiet and just loves being around.

Aw that's really sweet of your boss. I'm sure Morgan will be fine and dandy asap - Morgan is a cute name too. Sending him some pixie dust from our moggie Charlie

I know the type of building you mean - sometimes doctors and solicitors offices. It sounds like a lovely place to work. I'm currently looking out on to a portakabin and it's staying there for at least a year!! Perhaps I'll paint a Diney esk picture on it lol

Summer,

I can understand you feeling stressed because it isn't in. You just want every T crossed and I dotted, so that everything's ready to go. But it will come in on time (trust me, they don't want to mess with the dress!).

It's hard not to worry about all the details. Geez, before I left I wouldn't let anyone even THINK about the weather. I was afraid that I'd get snowed in at the Buffalo airport.

So when people would say relax and enjoy I'd just raise an eyebrow. I really wish I knew how not to be so completely OCD about things.

The good news is that on the day, I didn't stress about one single thing, it was just a day full of pure joy.
