Summer's Planning Journal 08/20 Update 08/10/07

Summer, what a beautiful story.. I got goosebumps reading that! It's so cute that you guys knew each other from so young too! :goodvibes

You guys are going to have a wonderful trip! A sampling of all those different hotels! Plus cruise! :cheer2:

I just finished reading your journal, and everything looks fantastic! I see your going to discovery cove, I am debating doing this or not as I have actually swam w/dolphin in Key Largo and worry that this experience won't be as enjoyable because it isn't really swimming they way my previous expereince was. I'll be looking for your TR to see what you thought about it. Anyway, I'm glad to hear that you fixed your resort problem, and I really like everything you've picked out!:thumbsup2

Your day is getting so close, I can only imagine how excited you must be!

Thanks everyone for your kind replies, it just goes to show, sometimes fairytales do happen:cloud9:

As you all know I have been thinking of loads of surprises for Steven, I have been looking on the restaurant forum and I seen that someone had mentioned GF Private Dining, after reading the review, I'm so sure I want to organise this, does anyone have any up to date info on this? The thread was about a year old and the private dining menu seems very limited. I have already posted this question on the restaurant forum, but haven't had any replies. I would love to have dinner out on the deck, time Wishes with dessert, it sounds so romantic:love:
I'm going to call tonight for info, but I thought maybe some of you have had personal experience?

Summer everything looks gorgeous and your story is so sweet - I am so looking forward to reading your TR :goodvibes

Do you mind me asking where you got your shoes - they are beautiful, I am looking for something with a strap as I can't keep slip-ons on!! :cool1:

Private dining sounds lovely. I've been looking into treats at the GF too - so far I've got chocloate covered strawberries, a mini cake (have you seen those?) and mickey shortbread (I've read you can get this delivered from the GF bakery), on my list ::MickeyMo I think they can all be organised once you get there by phoning room service although I could be wrong... xx

No probs the website I got them from was shopforbridal.com (USA Site) the delivery was a bit slow, as in some things were out of stock but they got here and I was so pleased I bought from them. Everything was gorgeous!

summer, what a fairytale story! Now you are going to have your fairytale wedding, everything will be complete! I love your dress and your shoes are beautiful!
Just one piece of advice, make the most of your wedding day as it go's by so fast, it will be the most wonderful magical day of your life. I wish you both all the happiness in the world! x

Summer your story is sooooo sweet!!! Your plans sound great and everything looks beautiful!

9 lbs to go!!! woop woop you are whizzing through those last few lbs - well done chick!!! I think I'll need to get some weight loss tips from you :goodvibes xx

WAY TO GO! Nine pounds left!?!?!!? I am so jealous, lol. I've got 20... and only 3 weeks more than you.

You are going to look GORGEOUS. I want to see pictures ASAP!

Okay, those shoes are HOT!!! I love them! And I adore your Evenstar, I have the same and it's my fave necklace. Looks like some awesome surprises are planned and you two are going to have such a blast on your trip!!

Okay I received my BEO and....

We are under budget, by something like $600:woohoo: I was so sure I would be way above. We upgraded the cake and used quite a bit in floral, so I'm so happy that it has come under what we expected. It's great it actually means that our wedding meal at V & A is already paid for:banana:
Seeing it all in black and white, including the run of events, made it seem so real, I was actually starting to have palipitations as I leafed through 6 pages, all the times, locations, dates, it all seemed so much and so very, very, close.
I said to Tanis I would read over it on the weekend and get back to her with any changes required on Monday.

More news. I have organised Private Dining at The Grand Floridian on the night before we go on the Disney Cruise (29th Aug) This is yet another surprise for Steven. I have spoken with Linda and she has suggested looking through The GF menus and seeing what appeals, she has said the chef will customise a menu for us. It's actually more difficult than I thought. I mean, I'm quite easy to please, but Steven really like his chicken dishes for entree and those dishes at Citricos and Narcoosees just don't appeal. The desserts all do however:rolleyes:
I have planned the dinner to begin at 8.00pm and Wishes is at 9.00pm. Apparently we get seated on the third floor private balcony and it has a perfect view. We also get our own butler and the table is scattered with rose petals etc, it all sounds so romantic:cloud9:
I am really struggling with the menu though. Having not eaten at any of them I have no clue what is good and what isn't:confused: I would love some input girls...

Also I found out today that my wedding dress is on the way:woohoo: It should be here at some point next week:woohoo: I'm thinking of holding off my dress fitting until the last week in July though as I still hope to lose more weight and if I was to lose the 9 pounds I want to then that would make a difference to the alterations. Time to start running I think:idea:

Summer, so excited for your private dining plans! How romantic! I'm glad that worked out for you. And you have done an amazing job losing all that weight girl!

oh Summer, the private dining sounds magnificent! is it a very costly option? are you two the only ones on the balcony? where do you pick from? Jaime and I will be eating at Narcoossee's and Citricos but maybe the private dining would be a lovely way to start our honeymoon :goodvibes

oh yes, your package is on the way :thumbsup2

Michelle :cloud9:

Michelle - The Private Dining should cost approximately $200 depending on what you order of course. You can pick items from any of the GF restaurants and they can customize a menu to suit you. So far I am interested in the Narcoosees apps, and Citricos entree and both Citricos and Narcoosees desserts, I will be having a dessert sampler as there are 4 desserts I love the sound of. If you order from any of the GF restaurants there is a 25% surcharge. However you can order from The GF Private Dining menu at no extra cost, but I thought their choices were quite limited.
The butler is included in the price and you have the balcony completely to yourself, your table is scattered with rose petals and candles and they even give you a little gift at the end of the meal. There is no rush and they time it so you can see Wishes (apparently it's a great view)
I have never eaten at Narcoosees or Citricos so I would love opinions on what to order. I have sent in my requests to Linda and I have also asked her for some suggestions.
In fact I will send you The GF Private Dining Menu by email. Let me know if I can be of any more help:)

Thanks all for the congrats on the weight loss, I still have some to go before I am truely happy, but I am proud of what I've done so far:thumbsup2

Thank you so much, that is really sweet:flower3: I am trying to make this a fairy tale for us and so far I think I'm succeeding. I love planning surprises, and although my om is only coming for a week I am also planning some surprises for her. (cake, tuxedo strawberries, surprise basket in her room)
I am getting so exicted now, I can't concentrate on work anymore, I keep dragging out my dining reservations, itinerary and seeing what I can change next, I'm obsessed!
