We went to WDW this June and although we had a blast, for this southern Californian, the weather was miserable. Now they I'm home I realize how miserable it was. Here it's dry, hot, sunny, without a cloud in the sky. That's every day from May to October. I want to go back to WDW but I'm trying to figure out how the weather will be in late Dec/early Jan. is it really cold? My other options are fall break (1st week in October) and siring break. Out of those 3 times of the year which has the best weather?

I can only comment on the first week of October and it can still be very hot but with lighter crowds so you can take more breaks in cooler places. I think Dec/Jan is similar to southern CA where the particular week may be nice and manageable or you may end up with a cold week (cold for you, maybe not for people from cooler temps).

Does it rain every day in October?
Can you swim in Dec/Jan?

It does not raid every day in October. You can swim in Dec/Jan as the pools are heated. However, they are not heated enough for me. When you get of the pool it is to cool for me. You need a jacket or a hoodie in the winter months as it can get a little on the cool side for me.

We were there this past Christmas, and it was quite chilly. Our first night there (the 21st) we actually had our winter coats, hats, and gloves on. There were at least 2 mornings with frost. During the day, it would be pleasant, but mornings and nights were cold. I was a little disappointed, especially when we were getting off the plane arriving in Orlando and someone told us "You just missed the nice weather, it was 80 yesterday". Ugh! But it was still beautiful!

December and January can get pretty cold. In fact this past year they had some record low temps and freezing in parts. We are in MA and I remember there were some days back home in Florida where the low was lower than ours. Our family back home in FL were freezing.

October can be nice - especially because you will have lower crowde levels. We typically do end of Oct or beginning of Nov and at times Ive worn long sleeves. It can be warm or cooler at that time. But to beat the heat and avoid it being too too cold, Id aim for Spring Break or even better in the fall.

It is tough to pick a time when the weather will be "perfect".

(was in Anaheim this June and the weather was..."perfect" high 70's and sunny)

I live in Chicago which has notoriously bad weather, so I am always prepared for everything!

Personally I like the hot humid weather and felt like I was missing it when I visited CA...

I have been to the World every month of the year...multiple times, Have been in Late Sep/Oct and it was in the 90s...have been in November when it has been really chilly.

One December we visited and it was in the high 20's low 30's at night, I have pictures of my family bundled up (kids had snow pants on) on Splash Mountain..we were the only crazy people riding, they let us stay on a for a few rides.

Last year marathon weekend it was upper 80's (not the best running weather...) so even I (who hates to swim) went swimming...it was really warm!

The January prior we were there for my little one's 2 nd b-day and it was mid 80's perfect! They swam, I sat by the pool.

My suggestion would be fall early winter to avoid the rain...easier to "predict" rain patterns than temperature.

Good Luck to you!!
