Summer withdrawals...

Not that I expect--or deserve--any empathy/sympathy, but I am going through a bit of WDW summer vacation withdrawals. After 5 consecutive summer trips, we won't be going until Thanksgiving (I know, I know.."how horrible to wait an extra 5 months you poor thing!").

I know we will be very excited 5 months from now, but I can't help feeling a bit "empty" this summer--thinking of those great times on the Boardwalk, etc. that we normally enjoy as a family this time of year.

Anyone else have summer withdrawals? I know in the grand scheme of things, this is really a pathetic (and selfish) little whine of mine--I apologize.

I'm going through withdrawals.

I'm a FL resident annual passholder and haven't been there in 3 weeks. I'm getting the shakes and cold sweats.

Just vacation withdrawals in general. We've never been to the World in the summer, but it's been over a year since we've been and have no future trips planned at the moment. We do usually go somewhere in the summer though, even if it's just a few days in the northern part of NH. We were hoping to get to California this summer for vacation and to visit relatives, but my stepdad decided to replace the pool fence instead. So we're going nowhere

If I was going in the fall or winter, yep, you betcha I would be going through a summer withdrawal.

So your whining is alright with me.

Summer at WDW is so crazy fun. It's busy, yes, but Fastpass has all but cured the the most horrendous waits. It's hot and humid to the point of not being able to breathe, but a good mister fan and a bottle of water takes care of all that.

It rains like a monsoon, but hey, that's what indoor attractions and sit-down restaurants are for.

But how can you beat those summer hours?! You can't!

And how can you beat the feeling of being on a waterslide when it's 95 with 100% humidity? You can't?!

And how can you beat jumping into the hotel pool and not having your teeth chatter because you're freezing?! You can't?!

Summer is where it's at in the World.

But you'll enjoy November too.

Yes! We've gone the last 3 Junes, but decided to try Christmas at Disney this year. My son told me just yesterday, "PLEEAAASSSE, do not space our Disney trips a year and a half apart ever again!!!!" --He's ten and in agony!
