Summer vacation hasn't even started & already "I'm bored..."

It is a parent's nightmare...

Summer vacation doesn't start for DS until next Thursday, but it's already started...

"I'm bored!"
"All the good shows have been cancelled or are in reruns!"
"I can't be online anymore!"
"There's nothing to do!"



I gave him my dad's favorite suggestion...get a toothbrush and start cleaning all the grout, but it didn't go over well.

This is gonna be a rough summer I'm guessing!

Thank goodness, I get to start with a trip to DL, DS'll be better there (I hope) , then I'll be gone for business in late June, and I get a weeks reprieve in July when I head to WDW with my Dsis and Dniece for a girls only trip.

Anybody else seeing the beginnings of the Summer from you know where and your teenager? Let's commiserate together...

DD12 has such a passion for TV that I'm dreading the summer - except, she'll be at camp for four weeks, and on various trips and vacations for another four weeks, so she really won't have much time to veg out in front of the TV. I think I'm going to make a no daytime TV rule - we'll see how long it lasts!! She can meet her friends at the pool, though, so unless it's raining or she's out of town, I think that's what she'll be doing a lot. And she'll have some summer schoolwork assignments to get out of the way, and some math to review as well. Good luck to all of us - the preteen summers can really be challenging!!!
