Summer Moonlight Magic

I actually ended up with two different queue IDs. I *think* it looks at your IP address but I could be wrong. My phone (not on WiFi) had one ID. Every other browser/device was on my work wifi and had the same queue ID. Could have been a fluke but wanted to share my experience

I had the same set up at work but my phone (not on Wi-Fi) had the same ID. DH back at home also tried, but same ID. So what you mention is definitely surprising!

They tie your membership number to the queue id. If you enter the same membership number on a different browser window, that one should get the same queue id. We had multiples open and they all had the same queue id. I did that just in case one of the devices had an issue when it was time to register.

I am registered for the Summer Moonlight Magic at EPCOT for July 17. Will that appear on the MDE app or will my Magic Band be loaded with the information for the park?

Nope.

They will have you bring up the Disney MagicMobile Pass in your smartphones wallet app and they will read that using a handheld scanner to check you into the event.

Struck out again!? We planned for Epcot in July and even have a room for Sept 1st for the studios moonlight as a back up. However, we struck out. When the clock struck 11 we had a 30 min wait. I felt good but after a hour and half we ended up empty handed. Epcot went 1st no big deal we have a chance for studios.. Rejected for that as well. Its frustrating to keep getting left out. We are now 0-6. We have been down to number 10 or less a few times and this time down to "5 mins". Close but no cigar. We will try for the open registration but I don't have any hope for that either

Are we doing something wrong? Is there a secret trick? I go on YouTube and the same people get in all the time to tell me how great they are?

I wonder if internet speeds VPN etc have anything to do with it.

Many of those you see are guests of different owners so that is one reasons why you see them at more than one.

There are more people who want to go than can get in.

I don’t think you are doing anything wrong…

So there's another chance? Ugh, I cancelled a 2nt @ Riveria today only because I hoping for moonlight....That's okay, beginning of Sept (& all of August) weather is usually brutal.
A very small chance.

For general registration you don't need an on-property reservation.

Hopefully you are able to register then having to find lodging becomes a good problem to have 8-)

GOT IN for Feb 11 in 33 minutes!!!>>>>>

I found my post from 2019 above. I was #3,032 (they used to tell you where you were in the queue). I got tickets after 33 minutes. Today I started at 23 minutes and never made it past the 7 min mark with line pausing. So about 16-17 min of actual waiting and did not get tickets. Just wanted to compare

I might not be remembering correctly, but I thought the EPCOT registration for Nov 21st 2024 had success for queue numbers 14,000 ish and it seemed like it was open for at least an hour.
What was not known was how many folks had multiple browsers open (and so the actual numbers were probably less).
But, on the other hand- this latest registration included 3 events- so I would have thought the registration would have taken longer before it filled up?

Nope.

Do we get an 'entry ticket' that showsup? or you mean they'll scan our DVC membership?

The event is not tied to MDE, so nothing will appear. At the gate, you'll check in with a CM with picture ID and your DVC membership (either with MB or mobile member card). Then you'll receive a colored wristband.

Compared to more tech driven normal park days at WDW-- Moonlight Magic events are more old school like attending a wedding or a private party.

Nothing will show in MDE unless you add it as a "Note". The MM events at WDW don't use physical tickets. At check-in, a CM will have you bring up the DIsney MagicMobile Pass on your smartphone and they will then use a handheld device to scan your phone.

General Registration opens on May 22, 2025

The general registration window for the July 17, 2025 event is open to all eligible Members (limited availability).
Event and registration dates are subject to change.>>

Is there an email link to the GENERAL registration tomorrow?

I wouldn't expect an email for general registration. The January 9 email pretty much covers it as it references the dates and includes the link to the moonlight magic DVC page.

They don't send out emails for the General Registration period. They will put the link on the MM webpage before 11 am eastern.
