Aloha,

I am finally taking HydroGuy's advice to attend DLR during the summer!

However, where do y'all recommend for a family of four to sit (about one hour in advance...7:50 PM) to watch this summer's evening parade at 8:50 PM followed by the Fireworks at 9:30?

I ask because I am assuming all available locations in front of the Hub will be taken two hours in advance.

It will probably be different with the 60th anniversary. With the projections people will probably want to be further back on main st but no one really knows for sure yet about good locations or even the times of the new parades and fireworks show. The preview also said how the fireworks will have good places all around the park so this is a hard question to answer until more information is known.

Right now (for May 23rd) it shows the Soundsational Parade at 4:30 and the Disneyland Forever Fireworks at 9:30. The Paint the Night parade is not posted yet.

The schedule now shows Paint the Night at 8:50 pm and 11:00 pm. I agree that until the shows begins to be previewed or debuted on the 22nd it's hard to say where the prime/best viewing spots will be located. At this point, I would probably just go with a spot on Main Street where you can see the castle.

Where did you find this info, I have looked on the Disneyland site and can't locate it. We are going June 8-11 so I have been looking for the parade, show and firework times so I can create a schedule for us on the 4 days we are there. Want to make sure and hit all the 60th anniversary celebrations and definitely WOC. We have seen Fantasmic several times at WDW.

The entertainment calendar is only posted through May 23rd at this point. Operating hours are typically posted about 45-days in advance and entertainment may not be posted until about 30-days.

While the calendar can change, at this point the 23rd is the best estimate we have for how the rest of the summer schedule will look.

I would not rule out F! Just because you've seen the DHS version. The DL version has several different elements. I've seen both and while the DHS version has a better viewing area, the DO show itself is better.

If you're talking about the Paint the Night parade, I have to think you'd need to get a spot earlier than an hour out, especially if you want to be on Main Street. On a week night in early December, there was barely a spot left on Main Street 90 minutes out for the Christmas parade. And I can't imagine the new night parade being less busy.

I will be very curious to see if they continue to let people stake out spots with merely an empty blanket as this new parade debuts.

Thanks, I will watch for our days to be posted. This will help with planning all entertainment that we want to see.

Ok, hopefully Fantasmic will be shown twice the whole time we are there and maybe we can see the later show one night. So much to do and now 4 days doesn't seem like very long....lol
