Summer.. does it always rain in the afternoon?

We just got back last night and it rained or stormed every afternoon when we were there. It wasn't an all day or all night storm it maybe lasted maybe 30 minutes to an hour.

There were a couple of afternoons where they closed the resort pool because there was lightning in the area. It wasn't raining but Because of the lightning they close the pools. Once The threat passed they reopen the pools.

We were there June 4-11 this year, and it rained at some point every day except one. We had a TS come through this year on my son's bday (this happened on our 2013 trip as well). We got the afternoon swim in once this trip, it started storming as we got to the pool once, and we went to TL in the rain (not storm) one day. We've been in June when it hardly rained at all.

we were there 9 days Aug 9-18. It rained every day but one. BUT we it was so short we missed it every day but one. Only one day was really rainy.
