Hello all,

So, if I have to pick a summer cruise (I realize the price is way, way higher), what are the pros and cons of different time frames (June/July/August)? We're interested in 7 day cruise in the Caribbean. The kids' school vacation is likely to be from ~June 12th to ~August 24th in 2017.

Also, is the week before Easter cruise pretty crowded? The school's April vacation in 2017 is the week before Easter and was wondering if that may be a better choice...

Thank you in advance!

Summer in the Caribbean = HOT and HUMID!!! ::yes::

June and July have less chance of Hurricanes, but they are still in Hurricane season. Also in August we've experienced more thunderstorm activity (because of Tropical Storm / Hurricane activity) than in June / July.

If you are planning beach / snorkel activities then any time in the summer should be great for that and the water is warmer than in December / January and even April time frames (but the water is still nice in the Caribbean then). Water is almost too cold in January (winter) in the Bahamas.

but really anytime to be away and out on a cruise is a great time.
