Garlic Chicken with Rice
1 package (6 ounces) original flavor long grain and wild rice mix
1 small onion, chopped(1/2 cup)
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
2 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
6 cloves garlic, peeled
1 can(14 ounces) chicken broth
3 1/2 pounds bone-in chicken pieces, skin removed
Stir together rice, contents of seasoning packet, onion, bell pepper, oil, garlic, and broth in 3 to 4 quart slow cooker. Arrange chicken on top.
Cover and cook on low heat setting for 5 to 6 hours.
Crockpot Ham with Cheesy Potatoes
1 Bag (28 oz) of frozen diced potatoes with onions & peppers (thawed)
2 cups shreaded cheddar & monterey jack cheese blend (8 oz)
1 can (10-3/4 oz) condensed cream of celery soup
1 container (8 oz) sour cream
3-pound fully cooked smoked boneless ham
1. Spray 5- to 6- qt slow cooker w/cooking spray. Mix frozen potatos, cheese, soup and sour cream in cooker. Cut ham lengthwise in half, place ham on potato mixture.
2. Cover and cook on low heat setting 5 to 6 hours or until potatoes are tender.
3. Remove ham from cooker; place on cutting board. Gently stir potatoes well before serving. Cut ham into slices, serve w/potatoes.
Asian chicken
chicken breasts (I'd say 4-6)
1/2 cup soy sauce (I'd probably go with light soy since the sodium is SO high),
1/2 cup of honey,
2 TBS sesame seeds.
Put the chicken in the crock pot, stir the honey, soy, and seeds together and poor over chicken breasts. Cook on low 4-6 hours.
I recommend doing some broccolli and rice along with it
