What exactly are you looking for package or room only and are you flexible with where you want to stay?

thanks for posting this info so early on yesterday! I called and priced out room only and package w/dining, but kept my existing reservation with AAA discount which was better than the room only rate BUK.

I was back and forth over the package w/dining. They only had preferred rooms available at Pop (I currently have standard booked)and I would need to add insurance to the package which I would not add to room only. Also, DD will just turn 10 right before we go which makes her an "adult" for the dining plan and I just keep thinking she will never eat $38.99 worth of food every day!

Congrats to those that were able to get a better rate! If this wasn't supposed to be my "super budget extra trip to wdw" trip, I would have loved to upgrade to AKL or another great resort! Have a great trip everyone!

Was anyone able to use the code that has a package with FREE dining? I was told by 3 different CM's that you cannot use 2 discounts or "double-dip." I'm about to give up with this code unless someone tells me they were able to book it in addition to their free dining. Anyone?????

You are only allowed one discount and your free dining is the better deal. We tried to get the ZJZ code at the Poly but our agent said that there was nothing for our dates. We are sticking with the AAA discount.

I'm soooo bummed right now. I have been hoping and hoping for a code or discount of ANY kind for our August honeymoon, but we're still paying rack rate and paying for dining. I'm a full time student and my husband is an associate pastor, so we're really stretching the budget by staying at a deluxe.

I called about the package code and the CM said that yes, he could apply it to our reservation, and quoted me a new price that was about a $500 savings! I was elated. He then said he needed to check something with guest services, put me on hold for 10 minutes, came back and said it was an error, that the rate did not apply at AKL after all.

Still, I'm glad that other mid-August guests are having better luck!

Call back!! Keep calling! And if you are flexible with where you stay, you will have a much better chance at getting the discount.

Disney doesn't make alot of sense to me. I booked WL through Expedia because Disney didn't have availibility for the summer code, but what's even weirder is that even if I wanted to pay rack rates for my dates, the Disney website still says that they don't have any rooms at WL for my dates.

We have room only at the moment and are flexible to where we'd stay. If a package proved better for us then I guess we'd change.

I just emailed my TA at Dreams Unlimited with the code (we are doing MYW with dining). We checkin on 9/28 at POFQ. Crossing my fingers that she will be able to get me the discount.

Suzy, we are checking into POFQ on 9/28 as well. I will have a LGMH on my door. Hope to see some Diser's there.

You may want to check with a AAA travel agent. If they have anything available you will get 15% off the room portion of your MYW with dining package. Of course you need a AAA memebership but we saved about $400 on our 7 nights at the Poly and our membership was about $100.

With all the posts of people getting calls to move out of AKL due to the construction, I would be surprised if they would give a new discount at this resort.

You might eventually get a call asking if you want to move to a different resort too. I would keep my options open. I know this is for your honeymoon and you most likely had your heart set on staying at AKL. It is a beautiful resort. I want to stay there one day, but will once the construction is done.

My fiance is totally stuck on the idea of AKL - we are big animal lovers. However, if noise is going to be a huge problem in August and we are offered something nicer at another resort, hopefully I can convince him to try out a different place.

We requested bldg 4,6 or 7. It will be me, DH and DS7. My DH suffered a compound fracture of his leg two years ago and walking long distances is hard on him. We thought these bldg's were the closest to the bus stop, food court and pool. I am really hoping for bldg 4. We'll see.

Value season POP rates are $99----with the AAA discount of 20% it's $19.80 off of that rate, which makes it $79.20 plus tax. How is the $69 not cheaper?

just looked at bill for 2 nights room only before free ddp using aaa discount $148 (inc tax).2 nights using new offer $155 (inc tax).
The $69 is the rate before tax so you have to add it on

My AAA TA said that the code for MYW plus Dining was sold out for CR, Poly, and GF for our dates. (8/21 - 8/27)

I just saved $117 more in addition to AAA with the new codes. Checking in on 9/29 at Poly! They had to call twice to Disney, but I got it!!

Sooo..... I am parusing the discount availability on the WDW website and a standard room at WL pops up for $140!!! I immediately grab the phone and try to switch from POP to WL. She says that the only thing available is Courtyard bunk beds. I say, but I am looking right at Disney's website. She says they have the same inventory as online and a standard is not available. I seriously think she thought I was making it up.

The CM mentions that I am booked with the BUK code, and I say, no, I have a package. She gives me the price of my package which does include the discount of $133. She could not find ZJY in the system and put me on hold for "forever" and came back and said BUK was the same. As long as the discount is there, and I have proof of it, I don't care what code they use.

My question, and the CM could not answer this is, is the room only discount inventory not the same as the room discount inventory in a package???? Is this why I could not change my package at WL????

I just saved myself about $100 for 1 night. We are staying at OKW for 5 nights but had originally booked just 1 nite at POP before our 5 night stay to extend without using points. Because we were paying full price I booked POP because I didn't want to pay the $279 rack rate for 1 night at OKW.

Now I was able to apply the code (BUK) for a night at OKW because it was only coming to an extra $69. I'm excited because now we don't have to switch resorts and that will be a huge help. The wonderful CM (Chapman) even put on the ressy for us to request not to change rooms - hopefully this will apply and we won't even have to change rooms but I'm just excited that we don't have to change resorts.

Thanks so much !! BTW, keep trying on those codes. I originally talked to someone that insisted that I have a pin code to go with the BUK. Since I didn't have one, I just hung up and called back and then I was able to get it. Also, it appears that the ZJY (MYW) and ZJZ (MYW + DINING) still only apply the special rate to the room only. Has anyone else had this experience?

Thanks and good luck to everyone else -- remember, just keep trying if you don't get what you want the first time. It just takes awhile sometimes to get a CM that knows how to do it.
