Summer appliance sales?

DH and I are remodeling our house. We were able to buy most of the new appliances we need over July 4th weekend (took advantage of some really great sales). Unfortunately we had an unexpected A/C repair that set us back on our renovation budget, so we were not able to buy a new refrigerator or oven during the sales period.

We would like to buy these items within the next month or two, so I'm looking for advice when to expect more appliance sales. Should we wait until Labor Day, or do the big box stores typically offer any good appliance discounts in late July/early August?

I just saw something about a Christmas in July sale this weekend... I don't know if all stores are doing it..
