I know many of us are complaining about the heat etc..

BUT..are there any of you out there who doesn't mind it?

I know its hot, its miserable to take a walk, its misrerable to be outside for long periods of time...IT IS SUMMER!!! I love summer.. I loved it as a kid, and love it as an adult.
I love nothing more then going to the pool on those scortching high 90 degree days, floating around the pool, chatting with my friends, enriching my suntan(With sunscreen on of course;))
I love going to get slurpees at night or icecream just because it is so hot and nice to get out in the evening..

So am I in the majority..that the high temps do not bother me:confused3

To me summer means freedom, no schedules, and always our vacation in August:thumbsup2

I hate being cold. Can't stand it. Would rather it be 100 degree than 65 degrees. I want to wear shorts, sandals, and t-shirts year round. I want to play golf year round. I don't care if I have to sweat a little to get it. I spend all year cold during the days at work because they run the stupid A/C so low so I always have to wear a jacket and can't feel my fingers half the time, so I'm quite happy to walk out of the office into a 105 heat index and drive home in a hot car (with the A/C blowing so it isn't an oven, of course).

I don't mind the heat but could do without the blasted humidity! It's to the point this week where the AC barely cools off our bedroom upstairs.

LOVE the summer. I love the bbq, the heat, the pool, the greenness of everything, the flowers, the popsicles, walking around in the backyard barefoot, driving with the sunroof open...:thumbsup2

I also love the fall so I am looking forward to it, but I am a summer girl.:goodvibes

I am also more of a summer person. I've even been reading out on the back porch in the ninety and more degree weather because the air conditioning feels too cold for me sometimes when I'm just sitting in the house (and it's at 79 degrees, so it's not that cold). The hot 102 degree days we've had the last two days were a bit much though!

Lovin' every minute of it!:sunny:
We've been spending lots of time in our nice shady backyard, BBQ'ing, picnicing, enjoying tropical drinks on the patio, or relaxing in the hammock.
Yes, it's hot but we don't care - winter will be here soon enough. YUCK!

I'm a fall/winter type of girl but I have to say I am enjoying all that summer has to bring! I could go without the 97 degree days with 73% humidity but heck that just means more time in the lake and having ice cream:thumbsup2

Ditto, ditto, and ditto! I love the summer and all that comes with it. It is when I feel my freest. The other night I came home from work and the temperatures were still well into the 90s. My DH had hooked up cable t.v. out by the pool so we could light a fire in the fire pit, float around the pool, and watch the Red Sox game. Oh, and to top it off he picked up lobster and steamers. We had such a fun evening! :lovestruc

Another summer lover here! It's the only time when I'm not freezing! :rotfl:

That sounds like an absolutely perfect evening, so long as there was a glass of wine or a cold fruity drink too!!

This is great! I love summer! Its my favorite time of year! I love spring and fall as well but fall to me is one step closer to these long, cold NH winters.

As a matter of fact, I did have a nice glass of wine! Plus, as an added bonus, DD won't eat lobster but she likes to crack the shells and do all the work so she sat next to me and took the meat out of the shell and all I had to do was enjoy. What a life I lead, huh? :upsidedow

I don't like the heat and humidity. I top out at about 75 degrees, and it's over 95 here.

But I do love that the kids are out of school and not stuck doing mindless homework every night and all weekend.

I freaking hate being cold, so give me summer any day!!:thumbsup2

What a nice DH!

I love the heat!!

Yay, I'm not the only freak! I always think that it's just more fun trying to stay cool than trying to stay warm.

Summer feels like one big long holiday to me (if only I didn't have to work.) Every weekend I find some kind of summer-fun. Going to the beach this weekend. It's 2 1/2 hours away and people think I'm crazy but here in PA we have, what? Just a handful of weekends to do crazy stuff like that. I get SUCH cabin fever in the winter, don't even TRY to stop me now!

Summer for me is not what it is to most people due to my work - I work LONG hours during the summer, am out of town a lot, it's my busy busy crunch time. I don't get a summer vacation or any downtime. Now, I enjoy a lot of those activities but they are a LOT of work. And I am physically exhausted, esp with the heat and humidity. The activities involve lots of physical work, time in the heat, long days, etc.

I must prefer slower times of the year, like fall and spring. I like being able to have my sunroof open and not getting into a sauna when I get in the car. I also like having weather that allows for my dogs to play outside for long stretches of time. And picnics! Summer in TX doesn't allow for those things usually.

I can see where people with school age children, teachers, and those in cooler climates enjoy summer. There is a care free spirit that comes with it - I just get to observe that spirit from afar

This is me....give me heat but hold the humidity!!!!

Our poor puppy is not a happy camper right now. He's 90% black, so going for his walks is killing him. He was good in the low 80's low humidity, but know with the upper 80's into the 90's adding in the humidity and he is not liking it. We are waiting to take our walks at 9:30-10:00 at night.

Even being outside for a couple of minutes to do his business, he comes in and his fur is hot. Every time he comes in, he plops himself down in front of the box fan we have running in the family room to cool off.
