Summer 2024 Direct Incentives

VDH went on sale on May 2nd, 2023 for existing owners which was in the middle of an incentive cycle (which ran for other resorts through May 29th, 2023). Interestingly, it opened for new owners on May 30th, 2023. I wonder this is is a possible Poly timeline, just in Sept?

Earlier this year, a new incentive cycle kicked off Jan 30th and Cabins went on sale Feb. 1st for new members, existing members Feb. 27th.

Back in 2022, VGF went on sale in early March, in the middle of an incentive cycle for Riv which ran through the end of March 2022.

Someone smarter than me will no doubt chime in in the morning, but at least we can look at the last few resorts for any possible patterns.
Awesome!

I think it’s really interesting that the AKV offer is $5 worse than the SSR offer AND has a $5 higher starting price. Double whammy.

They’re both solid enough offers. They look like crap after the OKW offer last cycle but they’re both pretty good. But for a resale owner like me it’s an offer to add ME for $160/pt after MB.

If you do add on 150 points at SSR to get Membership Extras, it’s $9,750, or $97.50/pt, to tack on the next 100 more, after MB. That’s nearly resale rates.

I’m looking to add 150 direct. But I don’t think these are doing it for me.

Just checked this out… I whipped out my calculator for some of those huge incentive break points but didn’t see any configuration that gets you below the $170s before MB…which is making me feel better about buying it in that range 18m ago.

Trying to decide if I have the self-control to wait for morning by which point I assume someone will have posted the best $/pt contract size for each of these resorts.

Not quite...how about $160 (assuming existing member)? Although would Welcome Home or MB apply? That could get you down to $140.

Similar incentives for SSR and BLT, but BLT has a much higher starting price.

Who here volunteers to call their guide and see if there’s anyway that AKV deal can be combined with Welcome Home? We haven’t hit the 2024 MY for the contract I’d be inclined to add it to and the numbers are really close to where I might want to own direct at AKV…unfortunately I do not need (and probably cannot justify) getting 300 AKV points right now.

It appears they have no interest in pulling the additional sales lever this quarter. The resale brokers can breathe a sigh of relief.
I think either AKV or SSR could be pretty attractive for someone looking for bigger contracts who doesn’t have a blue card yet…but it’s definitely not last cycle’s OKW level.

Where are the DVC explorer sheets coming from?

Also on the website now where you can price out DVC as a new member with the slider it doesn’t calculate the $$$ off per point and the link to the incentives still says spring 🤷🏻‍♀️

Maybe it’s going away for new members? The $13?

I was hoping to see more older resort incentives and I got my wish. SSR is really tempting. I'd love to own BLT but will likely just be patient and wait for a small resale on that one, incentives for it are kinda garbage.

Reading the small print on this one...it looks like it has been updated? And same as last cycle? (This one is without welcome home, which had a separate URL.) Is an extension of an existing incentive cycle typical?

"Developer Credit starts on June 25, 2024 and all Tours must be completed by September 30, 2024 when the offer expires."

ETA looks like Welcome Home is the same, too...

Riviera for non members dropped the Welcome Home credit by $250 only for the 250* point level, everything else seems the same. Very random.

*Edited to fix my typo on the point amount

They added $250 to the Disneyland Hotel one at that same level 🤷‍♂️

Summary of incentive changes (up to 499 points) vs Spring for active sales for non-owners:

CFW
: no changes
RIV: 250-299 dropped by $250
VDH: 250-299 increased by $250
AUL: 250-299 increased by $750; 300-499 increased by $1500

We just walked around SSR for the first time earlier this week - the overall resort is just beautiful and having DS food options so close is 🤩 - not in the market for more points but agree if I needed blue card this would be very tempting.
We were pleasantly surprised too when we toured there in December. It is beautiful, and walking to DS is fantastic. But park transportation is a hot mess with the busses having to make multiple stops. Takes a looong time. Now if they somehow could drop the skyliner onto SSR, gamechanger.

I’m sorry for asking if it has been stated, I didn’t follow the incentives much last round as I wasn’t thinking about adding on at the time, are the incentives the same as they were for the spring 2024 round? Thinking about adding on some more at riviera since I’m not longer interested in the new poly tower and prices on the treasure cruise I was hoping to take are astronomical.

Have they improved incentives for the cabins? Thank you to all those putting together the numbers and analysis.

@CastAStone just posted a very brief summary (I’ve quoted his post). Doesn’t seem like very much change so good for those still considering the previous incentives for RIV, nothing better for CFW. Probably looks bad to overly incentivize their newest, not even open yet, resort.
