Summer 2019 Park Hours/ADRs - less time in parks than previous years?

We are a few days from making our ADRs for our upcoming Summer trip, but are having problems: how can we plan when park hours for the days of our trip are not yet listed? How can Disney expect you to plan your dining options 180 days out, but they won't give you the park hours for your stay that far out? I have looked at days a week before our stay to try to get an idea, and it seems that ALL parks now close by 9:00 - Why is that? We have been to Disney in the Summer many times before (we are DVC members), and have always been able to get the park hours in advance of planning our ADRs. Also, we have NEVER seen Magic Kingdom close before 10 pm in the SUMMER! There have been times that extra magic hours have allowed us to stay until at least midnight, if not 1 am. What is going on? Seems like they are charging more to get into the parks, but giving us less time to enjoy ourselves in the parks! Anyone else notice the shorter hours, and not being able to get all park hours before you have to make ADRs? Is it just me?

I'm not sure if Disney has them posted, but I know Kenny the Pirate posted the hours. Also I believe Disney tends to extend park hours at the last minute. So If you're going in June, you may not see hours changed until May.

It's been this way for a couple years now. Check last YEAR's hours to get a better feel than the days before. They will extend hours as the time approaches, but they have cut back on EMH. Expect to see more of the paid extra magic mornings and Disney after hours events.

Same boat as you. My ADR day is Wednesday. As others mention I use last years hours plus Kenny the Pirates calendar to make my best guess.

Are you wanting to make ADRs after 9 pm?

Not the OP but for me its not that I want to eat after 9, but I do prefer to do Table Service for dinner each day. If I know for sure that the park is closing at 9 then I do need to plan to eat at some point and not use up too much valuable park time. For example if I am doing a mid day break and heading to MK for the evening to use fast passes I need to know when/where I can eat. If I knew for a fact say that MK was closing at 11 then I would have more time to play with to fit in dinner.

We go same time every summer. Got updates from touring plans that have MK closing at 9. That’s early last year was 10. Now I know as it gets closer hours will change but just saw 8/20 6 pm close at MK. Must be start of MNSSHP.

This has been the case with our yearly August trip for a few years now. I just make assumptions based off of the previous year calendar and go from there. I try to put my hardest to get ADRs on days where I'm least likely to be changed.
