Has anyone ever stayed in a suite at DLH? I'm planning a "girlfriends reunion" trip for this spring and we'll have one new mom with a baby, one mom with a 7 yr. old girl, and one hopefully-pregnant-by-then mom-to-be. :goodvibes Originally I was thinking it would just be us ladies and kiddos, but now one or two of the DH's are thinking they want to come, too. (Especially odd since none of the DH's even likes going to Disney parks!! :confused3 )

Anyway, the 7yr old (my "honorary neice") has requested that we stay at "the hotel with the pirate ship in the pool", and since this is her first trip to DLR, I'd like to treat her to that.

We're thinking about getting a 2 bedroom suite, but we don't know the layout - is there a couch that folds out into a bed, or do both bedrooms have two queen beds, or what's the deal? I'd rather not pay for 3 hotel rooms, although if the cost of the suite is more than the cost for 3 rooms then we'll go the 3 room route.

Any advice, words of wisdom, insight, experience, etc. from DLR experts? :listen:

We stayed in the Ambassador suite, courtesy of DL hotel. They shuffled us into three seperate rooms beforehand...it was a nightmare. Anyway the ambassador suite is large. It had one master bedroom with big king sized bed, awesome view, huge bathroom. The second bedroom had two twin beds; and then there was a kitchen, dining room and huge living room with couches which I think made into sofa beds. It was awesome...and the concierge and you're all set!

Wow! That sounds awesome! I don't know that we'll be able to afford the Ambassador Suite, though.

If only the DH's would decide not to join us, this would be so much easier!

Last time I looked into getting a suite at DLH it was significantly more than going with 2 rooms, it might be more cost effective (in relative terms - we are talking on site at DL) comparing it to 3 rooms though.

IIRC our quote was almost $600 per night for a suite.

We stayed in a 2 BR suite at the DL hotel about a year ago. The cost was about $600/night with AAA discount, less than 3 rooms but more than 2. There was a king bed in one room and space for a rollaway and 2 queens in the other. The couch is a sofabed, but we opted for the rollaway so we didn't test it out for sleeping. There were 2 full baths and a half bath off the living room. We had to re-schedule our trip twice and found that they booked up pretty quickly.

Best of luck in whatever you decide. -- Suzanne
