Suites at GCH vs DLH

We are taking a trip in either September or October this year and are considering bringing my parents so there will 4 adults plus our DD6. We are thinking of all staying together in a 2 or 3-bedroom suite at the Disneyland Hotel or at the Grand Californian.

The price difference is significant...$2500 total for the stay. I guess I'm wondering if the suites at the GCH and the location are worth that much more money. Or if the suites at the Disneyland Hotel are nicer because they are new.

Any input would be appreciated!
