Has anyone stayed in a suite at the Wyndham Palace? I have booked a suite for four nights at the end of June. The suite sounds nice -- it's 800 square feet. Any first-hand information is appreciated.

In 1989, we stayed in what was called a Jr. Suite. It was on the ground floor (same level as the gift shop)The living area had a patio overlooking the canal/creek , sofa, tv etc. at that time no fridge. Bedroom was very spacious, also with a glass door to the water, I don't remember if it had a patio or not.The bedroom had a big ceiling fan, I don't remember if there was one in the living room. The bathroom was HUGE, or so I remember (time has colored my memories of this trip with an even rosier hue!) and we enjoyed the fact that it had a phone. (Not so common in 1989). I remember vividly that the towels smelled just great, kind of a cinnammon spicy smell. The toiletries, sunscreen included, were in cute bottles shaped like the hotel. My husband and I marveled at how, if we stepped out for only 10 minutes to buy a paper or something in the evening, they would come and do the turn down service and leave the mints. They even would turn on the radio to some "soothing" music. We never saw anyone doing the turndown in seven nights stay, we joked that maybe they had to bug the rooms to get in and out of there so quickly. We really enjoyed our stay there, hope you have a great time.
