Has anyone here ever been in a 2BR suite at the Grand Californian? Where can we find the lowest cost for these rooms? I know that PriceLine and such list standard rooms, but I'm not sure if suites can be had through any other discount hotel service.

Thanks for any info!

Well, no I haven't been in a 2 br suite at the GC.....however we just returned from a stay in a 2 br concierge suite at the DLH and it was GREAT.....So.....I would have to assume that the GC would be awesome as well!

do you have pictures of the 2 bedroom suite at the DLH?

I am considering staying in one next year.
Thanks

I would also like to know (if you don't mind telling) what you paid for the 2 bedroom. I inquired about the one at GC and was quoted 987.00 a night. Is this resonable for what you get?

Sorry guys, but I don't recall anyone taking pictures of the inside of the suite!

As far as price goes....we had the package where you pay for 3 nights and the 4th night is free. We did have one additional night that was separate...I want to say that single night was in the $520 range (ouch - that hurts just thinking about it now!)...I'm not sure if DL has price variataions for "value" season vs. "peak" as they do at WDW, but we were at DL for what WDW would consider "holiday" season.

We were quoted $2125.20 for four nights (12/14 - 12/18.) That included a senior discount because of my grandmother. I'm not sure if they added to that the 4 nights for the price of 3 promotion.

Ok.....here it is...right off my hotel bill! I don't have the breakdown for the 4-nights-for-the-price-of-3 deal, as that was a package that included 5 day park-hoppers, plus other *extras*...but the single night for a 2 br. conceirge suite at the DL Hotel was:

Room charge - $520.00
Resort fee - $6.90
Tax - $78.00
Total - $604.90

Lynn-Marie....I'm assuming your quote of $2125.20 was for the GC?.....It would make sense to me that the price for 3 nights at GC would be slightly more expensive than DL Hotel.....I wasn't aware that they had a senior discount.....(not that I would qualify yet ;) )

Ooops! That's right... I forgot to mention that the quote was for the GC. I'd still like to know if anyone knows how to get the best prices for suites at any of the Disney hotels. To my knowledge, Priceline and the like only do deals on standard rooms, right?

I read on a different board that someone was going to take his girlfriend and he kept calling and asking different questions about the suites and found that there was a different price depending on who he talked to. Some CM's were very helpful and explained all the different suites to him and he found that the Honeymoon suite was actually the cheapest and was very nice.

You may want to call back and ask if they have any discounts for that suite. Maybe if you have an Annual Pass or the Disney Card you can get a different price. If you get a very informative CM ask about the different square footage of the different suites. They should be able to tell you.

Get the prices for a few different suites, you might be suprised that some of the larger suites are not too much more or sometimes less than the smaller ones. I have found this true for different hotels. In one hotel I stayed at the Penthouse was only 2.00 more per night than the two bedroom. Well worth the extra 10.00 for that vacation to have a much larger room

It is also worth noting that Disney doesn't put its hotel rooms up for sale on Priceline or any of they 'discount' travel sites. You may be able to find some deals by booking through AAA, or you can occasionally get a discount with an AP, but then you have to decide if the discount justifies the price of the AP.

Sonya has a good point about calling until you feel you've gotten a good grip on how the suites are priced.
