we are leaving tomorrow for our first trip to disney:banana: and are staying at pop. i was looking at the room configurations and it does not seem like there is alot of space to put our stuff so i'm assuming our clothes will stay in our suitcases. do you just leave them (the suitcases) on the floor or do they have those stand that they can be put on?:confused3

Actually the drawer space was not too bad and there are open shelves in the entertainment unit that you can put stuff in. There is also an area to hang clothes but they do not have very many hangers. We always bring a bunch of cheap wire hangers with us. As for the luggage stand I beleive there is one, but I can not remember for sure.

There are three bigger drawers in the entertainment unit, and I'm thinking a few smaller ones too, plus a couple of open shelves. There is a luggage rack, and a pretty long shelf above the rod to hang clothes on. There were three of us in our room, and we had 9 hangers, so we just hung three shirts at a time, which worked out fine! :)

Don't put suitcases with those snap out tilt out latches on the floor. Otherwise you or a child will stub a toe on the open latch! Yes that can spoil your vacation (now where is the little yellow circle face icon with some blood and a non-smiley expression on it?).

Or if you close the latches to protect your toes, the lid might be closed on top of the latches (ajar) and you pick up the suitcase thinking it is latched but it is not, and the contents spills out!

Also, those tilt out latches snap open so easily that the suitcase might open and spill ini front of the airline baggage handlers.

Since you are not supposed to lock suitcases for flight, I guess there is no socially redeeming value for those suitcases with the snap out tilt out latches. Toss them out. Don't give them to the Salvation Army where some poor family will get them and be faced with all of the above problems.

I'm weird about leaving suitcases on the floor after seeing a news program about bed bugs. Granted, I haven't heard of bed bugs at any Disney resort, but I'm still careful. The luggage rack is in the closet area. If you're hanging items that are longer, the rack gets in the way. After I put clothes away in the drawers, I either store the suitcases above the closet rack, or I will remove the luggage rack and put it in a corner of the room and then stack the suitcases on that.

WDW is the only place where I unpack my suitcases and use the drawers. We do this at the Pop and just store our luggage in the closet area until we leave.

I totally agree. You can inadvertently bring home bed bugs if you put your suitcases on the floor. Unpack them, then store on the shelf in the closet or on the luggage stand.

I almost never unpack. We always leave our suitcases on the floor. Usually we leave them in front of the connecting door since we usually don't need it. Or we leave them between the window and the chair. Never had any problems with doing that.

We unpack, but then again we go for 10 or more days at at time. :confused3 The drawers and stuff work really well for two people. We had no trouble with space issues.

We took hangers and also utilized the drawers during our SSR visit. We put the empty suitcases in the closet. If you don't, there is not much room!

Disney is about the only place that I do unpack and use the drawers. We had plenty of space. I really don't remember what we normally do with our suitcases though. I know I start filling them up with stuff I buy but don't remember where we stored them.

We stay at POP and we unpack into the drawers and we stack on top of the TV. We keep one suitcase open under the sink were we put all the dirty clothes. The dirty clothes suitcase is where I pack my breakables. I have gt home picture frames, snowglobes and all kinds of stuff with out breaking it because I pack it with all the dirty clothes.

we stack on top of the tv as well as the table and chairs. we are not in the room that much to care about whether or not the table and chairs are free to use.

you could also call housekeeping and ask for more hangers to be brought up to the room, but be sure to tell them how many or you may end up only getting 2 or 3

We are a family of four and usually bring 5 suitcases with us. Three are the nesting ones and to are not but one will still fit inside the other and close.

We unpack all of our clothes and they fit fine in the three drawers provided and the shelf space by the TV. We also use the small stand between the beds to put some things in.

Always bring extra hangers to hang up shirts and pants. This makes for more room in the drawers. All the suitcases then get stacked up on the shelf above the hangup clothes and don't get touched untill we leave.

All of our shoes get put on the floor by the window and believe me there are alot of shoes.:rotfl2:

What we notice people use the suitcase rack is to hang swimsuits on outside their door to dry.
