Suitable footwear for DLP!!!

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm think sum spending is gonna be happening..... u lot convinced of crocs in the summer, and now its happening again!!

oh, do u have to have the same fit as the summer ones?? if so - shud i order the same size as my caymans??? (im a 6, so order the uk 6?)

best to try them in the shop and check the sizes. mine are the same size as the caymans so probably the same for you:thumbsup2

those crocs nadia style look very warm

I have the Crocs Nadia boots but in purple. The base is like a Croc but without the holes and they have a really good grip on the sole (little snowflakes). The actual Crocs are lined and the boot part is furry. I found them so comfy and warm and they kept my feet lovely and toasty and dry! They also seem to be true to size. I risked buying mine online but you may prefer to try some first to ensure you get the correct size.

we wore snow boots when we went a few weeks ago - they were really comfy.

we took them in the suitcase but stuffed then with other things (mainly socks) so didnt feel they were taking loads of space.

Im having a dilemia with which shoes to take with me atm too. I don't own anything comfy or warm, im a midget :rotfl2: (5ft) who lives in heels  and had planned to wear my regular leather boots which have about a 4inch thin heel but am worried i'll be slipping over in them, not comfy or warm.
I was contemplating getting some uggs as thats what most people seem to wear there (from what i've gathered on here) but I dont really have the money for them atm as and i will probably never wear them again, so kind of a waste of money really plus im only in the actual parks for one day anyway.
I just don't know what to get as i dont want to look silly in starnge boots/shoes either haha.
Has anybody worn there regular heeled boots and been ok?

If you are used to wearing heels all day, then you will be fine. I was amazed at all the local mums wearing stilletos when i went :scared1: ... i can barely walk around my living room in them... but they were off, running about after thier kids no problem. If thats what you are used to, and your only there for 1 day, then wear what you normally would!

I have to say I took my ugg boots when we were there in October and we had a couple of wet days and they were absolutely fine. I sprayed them with a protector before we went and I have to say I was a bit nervous but they came back looking as good as they were before we went and I had them on every day. I have heard you can put uggs in the washing machine, I've never tried it but by all accounts it cleans them and has them looking like new again. I did buy a pair of snowjoggers which I took with me and they stayed in my case all holiday and I took them back as I didn't bother wearing them but they are supposed to be really comfortable, warm and waterproof.

Great thread, Im still contemplating what footwear to buy to take! The kids are sorted with snow boots just need to get myself sorted! Aahhhhhhhh!

AAArghh! I bought some lovely warm Emu's (cheapo Uggs) and found out today that they are not waterproof at all. I'd also bought some for my eldest so I'll have to get some more boots for both of us for DLRP. My friend has bought the croc boots and she is a huge fan. I love my caymens, so I'm getting tempted...

was gonna say the same as holly - am sure u can get a waterproof stray that shud work - an outdoors shop shud sell it

Waterproof spray? You don't mean that stain repellent stuff, do you? Is it some hardcore expensive stuff? I will definitely check it out. I didn't want to spend money on more boots but I keep looking at those Nadias. Ugly but seductive...:rotfl:
