Suggestions!!!

A friend and I are going to Epcot on Saturday. I was wondering if you all had any tips to secrets and stuff pertaining to Epcot. For example, I heard that if you are the first rider on Maelstrom for the day, they give you a Viking hat. Does anyone know if this is true? Any other secrets about Epcot? I've been to MK so many times, but have failed to notice many of the secrets in DW and Epcot, so this time I would like to explore some of the secrets and stuff. THanks for any info!

I was the first rider on Maelstrom last year (sat on the ground outside the entrance for half an hour, even) and got nothing. I wasn't expecting anything, btw, I was just excited to be the first rider.

I enjoy a lot of the "off the beaten path" parts of Epcot, but haven't noticed any sort of secrets/rewards to it.
