Suggestions..

Hello,

I was wondering if you could help me with my small problem. I currently have a DP booked for the evening of my wedding. I've got 13 guests so there will be 15 of us in total and I orignally had Morroco booked but changed it to UK lower as I preferred this location. The only thing is that there is a minimum of 20 people at this location and I need to find 5 people.
We had considered asking family but it would cause too many problems as we've said from the beginning that we only have close family and 2 friends each going and there is no way we can choose who to invite. So I'm just looking for 5 people and need some suggestions....

I thought you were just charged a small additional cost if you didn't meet the minimum number of people.

That was the impression I got as well. We did meet our minimum for UK Upper, but I thought they just charged you for 20 people even if you only had 15?

I asked if we could pay for the 20 people but she was adament that if I didn't meet the minimum then I would be moved to Morroco. We did think of offering the spaces to people that were involved in the wedding ie reverend & family or the woman who's doing my makeup etc.. The other choice was to offer the places to charities that work with children and send them to Disney....

I'm stuck and don't know what to do.....Is anyone going to be at Disney in June 08?

I really like this idea. Make A Wish works very closely with Disney. I would contact Make A Wish and also let your planner know that this is what you want to do. If you get any push back, I would take it to management and beyond. I can't imagine they would want the bad press. Therefore, they should be overly accomedating. Could you imagine a little make a wish girl getting to party with a princess bride at an ultra special desert party at epcot?!? AMAZING. Surely Make A Wish can match that date with a family (of the right #) for this!!!

I had actually thought of making a donation to Make A Wish as my wedding favor. I think you're reinspired me and I'm going to take another look at this!!!!

We actually paid for invisible people (had to meet our Italy minimum)....so they might not require the actual bodies....and I really like the make a wish idea...

If you dont have any luck DH and I are local...we are always willing to show up

Love the idea of the Make a Wish suggestion. If that works I would say to go for it.

If you are looking for people, my DF and I will be down in June for our planning session. When is your wedding. Our Desert Party is in the UK Lower in November and this would give us a preview of our party.

I think the make a wish foundation is a great idea. I worked for Disney for 9 years, ( Disney Store in So. Portland, Maine) and they did alot for charity. Problem was, that alot we tried to do as a store or just some of us, had to go thru sooooooooooooo many people before you could get a yes or no, the time had come and gone before you would get an answer. I hope that you get to do this. I think you are getting married around the same time we are. What is your date? Ours is June 12, 2008. Me, my fiancee and my 2 babies would love to come, if you need the people. We will be there from June 9-June 19. Let us know. Plus we are trying to book an Illuminations cruise for our wedding night, and we will have space, so let us take you if you are there, deal?????

I hope you get to take the kids, what a great idea !!!
