suggestions to use Starwoods points

We are currently booked to stay at the Dolphin. I am tired of my reservations for hotel and dining not showing up on-line and when I called Disney today it was a 22 minute wait to speak to a real person. Thinking of trying something new and maybe going to Universal. I would appreciate thoughts on the Starwoods hotels in the area. thanks

Either one of the Sheraton Vistana properties are great options in the area. Sheraton Vistana Villages is a bit closer to Universal than Sheraton Vistana Resort, but both have good access to all of the area attractions. Technically Vistana is no longer part of Sheraton/Starwood; they have spun off all of their ownership properties into a separate company and since merged into VRI (Interval International), but the relationship with Sheraton does remain in place for now, and your points can be used to book stays at these properties.

IMO, the Vistana Resorts are a big step up from a hotel property in both space and amenities for little or no extra cost. Well worth checking out.
