Suggestions? - resorts to visit T-giving week for decorations

I've read past discussions of this and it looks like Wilderness has great theming for Christmas. We are planning to eat at Chef Mickey's during Thanksgiving week on a non-park day so we'll use that day to visit resorts to see decorations. Kids ages 4-11. Starting at Contemporary, what order and transportation makes sense? We will have cars if needed.

I would definitely do the monorail resorts and see those first after CR, definitely worth it since it's easy enough to get around. WL and GF look great at Christmas time but all the resorts do some level of decor.

As far as all other resorts, unless you have a dining reservation at the WL or any other resorts you want to see decorations at, it's not a guarantee you'd get in if arriving by car. Essentially, you have arrive by boat, skyliner, walking or bus, then you can go see decor at any resort. There's a good suggested resort tour to navigate logistics of transportation from disney tourist blog. I would probably just pick a few since a lot of time would be eaten up in transport but it could be fun for the kids doing the skyliner, bus, boats, etc and if you get bored, you just find your way back to your hotel.

After you visit the MK resorts I would go to BC/YC/BW and then AKL. Maybe have dinner at Boma.

Top resorts - Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, and Beach Club. Don't miss these three.

Yacht Club has a nice train display. Animal Kingdom is very nice, too. Boardwalk has gingerbread houses on display. The Swan has a nice Christmas display, too. Contemporary has a nice display, too. Polynesian doesn't have anything special, as far as I can remember.

Most of the other resorts have minimal decorations but I think all of them have Christmas trees.
