We have done dinner at:

Cindy's, Crystal Palace, Le Cellier, Rose and Crown, Brown Derby, O'Hana,San Angel Inn and Boma. We have done lunch at Sci-Fi.

I hated Boma, the rest we enjoyed. We arent interested in Moroccan, and I am not willing to pay disney prices for Japanese or Chinese. We had considered LTT but I just thought it seemed expensive for thanksgiving dinner, and pretty much had the same opinion of the Garden Grill menu. Hollywood and Vine nor 1900 Park Faire appeal to my husband, and neither of us care for italian that much.

Right now I have O'Hana reserved for our little 3 night trip in May, and I am looking for fresh ideas for the other two nights. I am considering 50's Prime Time, and also Biergarten. (not too excited about being seated with people we dont know though.) Am I being too discerning? Does anyone have an idea we havent thought of....???

Just my husband and I, recreating our honeymoon on it's 5th anniversary!

Have you tried any of the restaurants at Downtown Disney. Such as Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Fultons Crab House. I don't know what kind of setting you are looking for but these are some suggestions. Have a great trip and enjoy.

In Nashville. I am so picky I could not find a single thing to eat on the menu. Fulton's is a good suggestion, but it is SO pricey. I will have to look into the menu's for Planet Hollywood.

Do you have any resort restaurant suggestions, or maybe an Epcot area one I havent thought of or already scratched off the realm of possibility? I appreciate the help, I just keep coming up with the same things over and over. It is hard not to book an old standby. (like crystal palace!)

I really enjoyed Biergarten, it was fun chatting with other people and hearing their WDW stories! The entertainment was awesome! I'd do that again! Have you tried Trails End in Ft Wild? Epcot area: Beaches & Cream at BL/YC is good. Ohana's is good also. Sci Fi has great atmosphere. Also, Whispering Canyon is good and fun!

I am not a 50s Prime Time fan. I find the schtick there annoying. I prefer SciFi for ambienence. Plus, I like the House of Blues alot.

Let's see.... Yachtsman? I had a good brunch once at Grand Floridian Cafe. Sci-Fi is fun... Personally we didn't care for Prime TIme. We could have handled the "schtick" but our server was very very tame, and the kids' food was just not up to snuff. (Our adult fare was quite good, though.) It just seems too fluxional as to how you'll be treated (some guests get really abused - which is ok if they want it, but some odn't - and some guests don't get any of the "treatment" at all - which is ok if that's what they want, but if they chose the restuarant forthat sort of frolic, welll.... disappointment all around.) What about the Plaza at MK? Not much in ambiance relative to other places, but I've seen good reviews on it.

Don't wholly discount Garden Grill - it's one of my DH's fave, and I consider him VERY picky! We had a GREAT meal at SHula's too - but boy THAT was pricey! One thing did make up for it - 2 hrs of free kid care at Camp Dolphin with our meal. (When ya have 3 kids, THAT IS A BARGAIN, LOL!)

Beaches and Cream is good but standard burger/sandwich fare - great ice cream. Good lunch or night dessert place!

What about Kona Cafe? I've only had lunch there and it was terrific, but most of the reports I've read, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner there, were very good. And their desserts are incredible! I don't think they're too pricey either.

Have you ever been to the Swan and Dolphin restaurants? I like Fresh a LOT. They serve breakfast and lunch and the food is so so good. (The sangria is also quite lovely.) For dinner there, I recommend Palio. Great food, nice atmosphere with strolling musicians... a very good place for a romantic dinner.

The good places that get overlooked are Olivia's at Old Key West, Boatwright's at Riverside, and Bongos at Downtown Disney. Portabello Yacht Club is excellent as well, but I think it's a little pricey.

Have you considered Akershus in Norway? I think it's one of the best deals in EPCOT. It's a buffet, but desserts are purchased separately. They have a nice variety and they have "normal" food as well as the more adventurous (i.e. pickled herring, etc.).

Bistro de Paris has great food in a nice quiet setting, but it is one of the pricier restaurants in EPCOT.

Le Cellier is great too, and not as pricey as Bistro. If Akershus is a little too exotic for you, I think Le Cellier would be a safe choice.

We have actually done Le Cellier multiple times ourselves. I forgot to mention we have done Olivia's also, I did not care for mine, though others were satisfied. I have also done beaches and cream and will be back for a No Way Jose.
Can anyone tell me more about Akershus and Biergarten? Isnt Akershus a princess meal now? What is Fresh like? We probably dont want to have to go anywhere with much of a dress code....

My pick would be California Grill and Chefs de France as most romantic and great food. We were very skeptical about eating at Chefs de France thinking everything would be pretty little portions with sauces drizzled all over the place and they charge you $75. We were wrong. We were so full and the food was great! California Grill was amazing too. We've eaten at Biergarten several times before but last time we were there they sat us with two other couples (the couples sat side by side not saying anything so they were just having to eat and be stared at by strangers sitting across from them, at least there were four of us!) and there were a ton of empty tables. We even requested to sit by ourselves and they said that they don't do that, the theme of the restaurant is to enjoy other people's company. And the food was just ok (the pretzel bread was so delicious though!). Good luck!!

By the way, on a gross side note, one of the guys of the couples got one of those nasty looking knuckles off of the buffet and watching him rip the meat off of that thing was so disgusting. Then my dad got one and I had to watch it all over again. Is that cow? What kind of animal produces that nasty boney thing? :confused3

The Biergarten is great fun and food is good too....only if you are into it though. If you aren't too thrilled about sitting with other people then don't go. You won't have a good time and neither will the people you are sitting with!

How about the Concourse Steakhouse at the Contemporary....lots of great choices of food. You can watch the monorail go by and depending when you go you can check out the fireworks on the overlook or go down to the water to see the water pageant!

Coral reef has a nice atmosphere (especially if you can be near the tank). We thought the food was overpriced for what we got, and they gave me the wrong order altogether (although what they brought me was quite good, LOL). But my DH doesn't handle fancy food well, so take his review with a grain of salt! I know there have been several folks who really like this place - maybe they will speak out. But our experience was that we wouldn't mind going there for dessert to take in the fishies and ambiance, but there were better meals to be had. JMHO - YMMV, you get the idea. :goodvibes
