I am planning WAY ahead for next June and want to do both AKL and BC. Does anyone have any suggestions on certain rooms-views, conveniences etc. We have a family of 5 if this helps in room size. Thanks in advance.

Hi there ~

5 is the maximum at AKL & BC (unless you are looking at suite accommodation)

I am staying at both AKL and BC this some (I guess we think alike) :)

I think Savanna view is important at AKL but a BC you could do well with a garden view. (They also have water views)

AKL has savanna view room with bunk beds & a queen... or 2 queens or 2 queens and a day bed. The bedding is totally on request ~ nothing is guaranteed - but it sounds like the bunks would suit you well.

Many BC rooms have a day bed in addition to the 2 queens.

Hope I helped instead of totally confusing you! LOL

Have fun planning,

At AKL you have to request a deluxe room to get a day bed.

If BC is your choice make sure you indicate 5 when making reservation. Most but not all rooms have a day bed. Also, be careful because a few rooms are smaller and only have double beds not queen. Our room was too small for the five of us...2 adults and three teens.

Hi- Just back from the BC! It was great as usual... make sure you request a full balcony or patio room. We did and got a great standard room with a nice patio in a wooded area near the quiet pool (very close to epcot!)
We had a great stay- my 4 year old DD loved the "sandy pool"!
Have fun,
Beka's Mom:)

Thanks to all who responded. I guess I was also looking for anyone who might have an actual room # to either of these resorts. Something that might be real convenient(to bus stop, laundry, ice machine etc.) but also with a nice view and top floor. Thanks again!

Hi Mary ~ Here are links to floor plans at both hotels...

At BC it shows room numbers floor by floor and which one has a full balcony.

At AKL it shows just ranges of room numbers.

By looking at the map/floor plan you can get an idea of where you might like to be.

Word of warning ~ requesting specific room numbers can only lead to disappointment ~ it is really rare that they actually have the exact room available that you request.

It is really best to request a general area/floor/view etc... and of course it is just a request and you could be assigned the exact opposite!!

Here is the BC/YC Link (look a quarter of the way down this page for links to floor plans)
