Your first trip! How exciting :goodvibes ! Do you know how many of those days you'd like to spend in the parks? Would you like to do anything besides the main parks ie:water parks or Disney Quest?

I know it's very hard to figure, right now, what you'd like to do because you haven't been there. I remember planning my first trip only a year and a half ago and was completely at a loss because I had no ides the pure scope of WDW. I can tell you our experience with it....We did nothing except the main parks. It actually took until our 3rd trip to actually schedule a day off in the middle of the vacation because there's just so much to see and do. Our next trip is going to be the first time we actually do a water park and DQ.

If you'd like the least expensive option, get the base ticket depending on how many days you think you'll be spending in the parks. I would get the 10 day because it isn't much more than, say, a 7 day ($10 for an adult ticket for 3 extra days) and you'll be able to just pop into a park for a few hours on arrival day (or whenever) without feeling as if you're wasting a ton of money. As a first-timer, the need to hop is significantly less than if you've been many times because you have a lot of exploring to do.

Again, I'm only giving you my personal experience. You may want to tweak it to your own desires.

If you started with the 7 day base ticket, you can add the plus pack ($48.) after you get there and decide you want to make two or more visits to water parks, Pleasure Island, etc. You can add hopping ($37) after you get there if you decide you really want to leave one theme park and go to another theme park in the middle of a day. You can even add the 8'th, 9'th, and 10'th days ($4. apiece) if you run out of theme park days as opposed to going to Universal or Sea World (days spent only in water parks, Disney Quest, Pleasure Island don't count as theme park days)

Please keep in mind that ALL the options are more expensive if you add them at the Park Gates!

Mousesavers.com has some excellent advise on how/what to purchase with the MyWayTix.

Thanks so much.. for the ideas.. i have learned so much from here... I am so excited ... cant wait to leave

As the previous poster said, check out mousesavers.com. Mary has it broken down so it is much easier to understand. Between that site and the Disboards you will learn everything you need to know because :disrocks: :rockband:

I agree, and if you sign up for the mousesaver newsletter, you may get a discount 1% I believe, but 1% off $400 is better than not!

Also, I do reccommend the Park Hopping option! It is $35 ahead of time,(for the week!) but it gives me a sense of 'contentment'. If one park is too full, I can try another, if we get ( ) bored at MGM (dd is too young for Tot,Rnr, and I'm not a fan of the food there - I'd much rather eat in Epcot!!) well, anyway, everyone has different opinions, none more right or wrong than the next, just different, so I thought I'd share my experience!
