suggestions on how to get to Poly from Jambo

If it were me, I would plan for the cost to have Mears take you there the day of the transfer so that you have everything at Poly when you want it. Transfer of luggage can sometimes not arrive until 4 to 6 pm (latest we had it was 5:30 pm).

When you drop yourself and store at bell services at your second resort, no matter what time you are in your room, you know they can bring you your things!!!

Just ask the valet to call you a cab. Very easy and worth the $. Depending on the time, a cab will cost little less/more than uber. I didn’t think suitcases were allowed on Resort buses anyway. Good luck.

Another option would be a bus to Disney Springs, and then a bus from Disney Springs to Poly.
Less likely that the buses will be crowded, and extra bags may not seem out of place as they could be from "shopping".

I would not take suitcases on bus or monorail. It would go with Disney bell services transfer.

Just wanted to add if you wanted your luggage and food to travel with you, you can call and set up a pick up day/time with Mears and have them transfer you, your luggage and food.
Is that different from taking a taxi? How do I go about finding the number for Mears transport within WDW resorts?

Yes, thanks again, Sandi. That is probably best. How do I find the Mears number for transport within WDW resorts? Is this different than a taxi?

They are usually the taxis at the resort. When we have used them, we simply asked someone outside at valet To call us one and it was there in minutes!

Just ask the valet to call a cab. I would never do this because Lyft is so much cheaper, but it is easy.

The other option would be to just rent a car. Then you handled your airport transportation too. Depending on how long your trip is, and when you’re going that option might be similar in proce.

Sorry about that I misread, you could just reverse what I wrote bus to MK then Monorail/boat to Poly. Maybe bring a soft side cooler bag to carry your cold stuff

The bus times in MDE would tell you when MK bus is expected

That's the reverse of what I did when transferring TO the Poly 2 years ago. Also, will they no longer transfer non-perishable groceries? I thought it was only refrigerated items.

They will transfer the other food. Just not the refrigerator items. Those you must move yourself. It is why we just used a car service in October.

I am doing a split stay. I know they will transfer luggage, but read they will not transfer grocery/refrigerated items. I do not see well enough to use smart phone, so uber is out. Taxi is about $30. Buses and transfer works, but I have tried that before, and waited at DAK for over an hour for them to bring a bus for the resort I was moving to. That could be luck of the draw, but is quite frustrating. Ideas please and thank you.
Private Car service through Mears? Tiffany Town Car?

Is Lyft really that much cheaper than taxis these days? I think the services have gotten closer to parity.

Here is an example
today about 1pm Bonnet Creek area to MCO:
Mears taxi $53
Uber $48
Lyft $28

There was going to be about 30 minute wait for taxi and Uber, Lyft was less than 5 minutes. I checked price of all before committing.

Now do an example of what we are discussing--Jambo House to Poly, 10-11AM.

Mears has several different services:
- taxis (the cast member in front of your hotel can call one for you if there aren't any there waiting)
- private car service
- bus service between airport and hotels

Someone posted last night about a bad last-minute experience with the Mears private car service.

I would think OP would have better luck with the taxi than with the Mears private car service.

Sorry I can’t do that. Pricing is dynamic depending on how many drivers are available and how much demand there is for rides. I used apps for Mears taxi, Uber and Lyft. From my experience over the last week prices and availability really vary.

If you budget $40 for a quick ride and tip, during the time you plan to transfer resorts, you should be pleasantly surprised and have $ left over.

BTW, Uber and Lyft require a credit card to set up an account, Mears taxi does not and you pay in the taxi. However, if you don’t have a smart phone, none of that applies, ask valet at your resort to call you a cab.

If it were me, I'd simply take the first bus that came along at AK...then after arriving at whatever park/DS that turned out to be, take the bus to the Poly from there....there's no telling how long the wait will be at any park/resort/DS...but at least this way you get the quickest "first leg" of your Disney transportation...if the first bus is to MK, you have many options: boat, monorail, or walking...the only one that you can control the time on is walking...it's about a mile, give or take, from the MK buses to the Poly via the walking path that starts near the boat launch/monorail entrances at MK...it's a super pleasant walk (depending, of course, on the weather), but it is long-ish...

This I agree with as I have used both Uber and Lyft to get around WDW and sometimes there is a big difference and sometimes it’s close enough and I default to Lyft,

But, when we visited City walk. last year for dinner, Uber was much cheaper than Lyft on way there, but way home, Lyft was!
