At Universal in early October always spend a day at Disney, not in parks, but have to go to Ohana's for breakfast and then usually go around monorail and then catch a bus to downtown Disney, with the construction going on at downtown Disney thought we could get some suggestions I was thinking of taking a bus to Animal Kingdom lodge to try to keep the kids interested, I could resort hop all day but I don't think my kids age 12, 8 and 6 would be interested, any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The last few years we have gone to the not so scary party, probably not this year lines are always bad and my kids are spoiled with the front of the line access at Universal, I personally love going to Disney and could spend all my time at Epcot so I try to keep the kids interested while on property, also thought about going to fort wilderness and doing hoop-dee do review, once again thanks for any advice.

Take your time eating breakfast. Slow and steady. Ha

I would hang around the beach area after breakfast, personally I think it is great family time to grab a swing and talk. We've done that as a couple and with a child. (Not sure what construction is like around the beach, FYI)

Obviously that will only occupy a portion of the day. And if you don't want to tackle lines, maybe drive over to the epcot resort area; you can ride off breakfast on a surrey bike. Grab an ice cream snack at Beaches & Cream (to get that tank back to full, of course). And finish it all with a game of mini golf at Fantasia Gardens.

If you want to top the day off with Hoop-de-doo, I say go for it.

Alternatively, have you considered a water park for the day?

Anyway, those sound like fun things to me, not sure if you agree. Hope it helps anyway.

I agree with you that I could resort hop all day! I was going to suggest riding the monorail to Epcot and back as it's a nice trip and you get to see the park, but don't know if that would make your kids ask to go there!

Do your kids like arcades? There's a large arcade at the Contemporary which they might enjoy - you could get the boat over there too! You could also maybe look at the cost of renting the small boats on Bay Lake or take a trip to Fort Wilderness to see the horses and have a walk.

Let us know what you decide :thumbsup2
