Suggestions for under the tree train?

We are looking for a train for under our tree. I looked on Amazon and it doesn't matter if the train is $40 or $200, they all get mixed reviews!! This will just be for the holidays so we don't need a collector type train. Of course, I would like to get as least expensive as possible. Maybe Christmas themed, but doesn't need to be. Maybe with sounds, light and/or smoke? Most likely under $100.

We got one at Ben Franklin Hobby shop a few years ago. It was under 50.00. We have had a few in the past and this one, while far from perfect, was pretty good. It was a Christmas theme. Reality is, as pretty as it is, it's sorta a pain to have up for a month or so. You can't really put gifts under the tree and the way our tree is positioned, if it goes off the track, it's kind of hard to get to. We have hard wood floors so that makes it 1000% better for us. We did have one when we had carpet and it was really a pain. Never stayed on the tract. HOWEVER, both my boys have loved having one and that is what matters. Can't believe DS6 has not asked where our's is yet

We have a monorail yellow and do the same thing. I bought the Contemporary set when I had a coupon code a while back and just ordered the Poly set to go with it. Sometimes the track gets jarred and you have to adjust it so the monorail doesn't get stuck. I like the recorded voice, too. The only thing I wish it did was repeat the instructions in Spanish - it sort of seems incomplete otherwise.

We got one at the Christmas Tree Shop for under $50 and the kids love it and it works great. Our elf actually brought it one night in case you have one.
