Suggestions for the Family Talent Show Aboard the Magic

Hello to all you Rising Stars who will be cruising on board the Disney Magic this Aug. 2nd thru July27th.

Some of my performers in the past were not aware of what they could've done to help their act/performance. Now that I've discovered Disboards, please allow me to make some helpful suggestions.

For the Dancers, Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Jugglers & any type of acts that use background music. Bring your own CD or Cassette Tape of Music you would use in your routine. This way you will be comfortable & confident knowing that you have the music which you've been rehearsing with.

For the Vocalists, who have Karaoke or Background CD's at home or have seen them in Marts that sell them. Bring or purchase the disc with the song you want to perform. This way you will be able to play them on a portable CD Player for practice & at the show.

The rest of you please bring sheet music

Hi Fidelio!

Glad to see you have DIScovered us! So you are giving some tips....some of those people really have no business trying to perform! I was on the ship with you in January when the older gentleman tried to do a comic bit about Maine - bad accent and all! The only one laughing was his wife. and I wanted to pop her after a few moments as she was sitting right next to me! But then there was the girl that played the guitar and was obviously gifted....

Hi Fidelio!

Michael has been practicing hard for the Talent Show, he isn't interested in winning it - he only wants to play for you, but will do it in front of the audience! His teacher is very proud of him because he has been a dedicated student - he is also a great horseman and interested in meteorology!

Andy (verandahman) was gracious enough to design the Official Fidelio "The Piano Guy" Fan Club logo - so you will know us when you see us!

Definitely want to hear "Paradise by the Dashboard Light".....

Thanks for the hints regarding the Talent Show ---- I'm afraid you aren't having a "shrimp eating contest" so my talent will not be showcased!

Get drunk first or take some Valium. You won't perform any better (maybe worse) but won't care. And if I decide to perform, I'd recommend all of the audience take the same advice, it will prevent several suicides as they would jump from the ship.

You can tell I'm not very good on the Computer Keyboard.

I love the logo. Just remember Billy is the Piano Man. Elton is the Piano Diva. Me. . . Fidelio the Piano Guy.

Those of you who participate in the Talent Show must remember, it's a show of Talent. So there is no winner nor any prizes. I'm not at liberty to make comments about some or any of the acts. But. . . the boy who burped out the spelling & pronoucement of his name still lingers in the canyons of my mind.

For those of you who are thinking of performing whatever your Talent, if at all possible bring your own props, costumes, background music, sheet music, specialty music (for example: it is hard to find Celtic High Step Dance CD's on the Islands). Whatever may enhance your show if you can pack it along.
Even if it's your violin, flute, trumpet, bagpipes etc.
Remember all we have access to on stage the night of the show is 1 Elec. Portable Piano, an Acoustic Guitar, 4 wireless Mics and a Tech who will run the CD or Cassette Player.

Well I'll be checking back until I leave for the Port. so long for now.

We're going to be on the 1/31/04 Western cruise so I guess we'll miss you Go out in glory, big guy, and maybe I'll get you some replacement batteries for your flashlight one day!
