Suggestions for servers - Disney Wonder

Hellooooo my fellow DISBOARD readers and posters . . .

We have upcoming B2B cruises on the Wonder (Mar 11 and Mar 16 sailings out of Miami). Does anyone have any recommendations for servers on the Wonder? As you all know, DCL is great but having great servers makes the experience simply magical.

Any thoughts, suggestions, or recommendations for server (server teams) would be welcomed!

Don't know if they're currently on board but we've had great success with Eddie (Phillippines) Art (Phillippines) Duran (I think Jamaica) and the team of Nicola (New Zealand) and Duarte (Portugal).

Not sure they are both currently on board, but in April 2015 we had Ajit Mahto and Yukiko Shirai. Both super pleasant, helpful, and fun!

I prefer to take my chances with a different server each time. If not for that, I would not have met some of the most wonderful people. We cruise the Wonder often and are glad to see the familiar servers from the past in other venues, such as the buffet or pool side. But as it is op's first cruise on the Wonder, requesting a server recommended by someone is great! However, you almost can't go wrong, imo Disney hires the best!

We had Nicola on the Wonder last week and really enjoyed her. She was heading home after our cruise however for 8 weeks of time off. She said she was excited to be back on board the Wonder again this Spring in time to head to Alaska.

That's great to hear, wasn't Nicola great? Was she still paired with Duarte? I think she'll be head of house one day if she wants to, her skills are that good.

Yes she did a great job. I will say that she was a little "off her game" the second to the last night of the cruise but I know she was excited to go home so she was probably having trouble focusing.

Andre from Portugal was the Assistant Waiter and he did a really good job also.

Server- Aaron Lonoy, asst server- Rahul Kumar- they were unbelievable. We told the head waiter that we thought they were fantastic and he said it was in his opinion the best team they had. They were fun,and extremely efficient. By far the best team we ever had

We had Putu and Sharang over New Years, and they REALLY made the experience wonderful! Magic tricks for the kids, and puzzles for the adults. We looked forward to seeing them daily. Such nice people, and truly talented at what they do. Sharang's food suggestions were always spot on...sometimes I ignored them and his advice, but he ALWAYS ended up being right! He knew my tastes quite quickly.

Thank you all! I appreciate the suggestions. Are there any other thoughts regarding Wonder serving teams?

Any thoughts on meal rotations for cruises less than 7 nights but more than 3 nights on the Wonder?

I just did a search for "Duarte" and "Sharang" and they both came up on this thread. We're just off the Wonder and Sharang and Duarte are paired together....they're simply amazing. They worked flawlessly together and didn't miss a beat.

Has anyone been on the Wonder recently? We are planning to go on that ship for the first time the end of February and would like current recommendations. My son is a huge fan of Sammy on the Magic and I'm hoping to find someone as good as he (if possible). It will just be me and the three kids so an awesome waiter helps tremendously! Thanks

We were on the Wonder Dec 2-9 and loved our servers Agus and Rob. Agus does magic and origami and they were a blast. They also had no problems going to other restaurants to get other options. Never refused any requests

Wow! They sound great! Did they mention how long their contracts were; are they going to be there in Feb/March?

We have had Agus 3 times. First time by luck and subsequently by request. He is Agus Dhyasa from Indonesia. Each time we have had him, he's had a different Asst Server (even in a 6 month period between cruises) He does indeed do magic tricks and origami and is awesome. He just came on the Wonder out of dry dock, so he should be there through March.

If you request a team no longer together, in my experience you get no part of your request, so I would request Agus only!
