We're looking for a hotel, condo, rental, etc. at the end of March/06 that would have at least one bedroon separated from the rest of the room. There are 4 of us, but DM and DD would like their privacy. :lovestruc

Ideally, it would be a hotel for $100 or so, maybe a little more. We would consider a condo, rental... but our preference is a hotel closer to WDW.

Any ideas?

Thank you! The tug2 website shows a 2 bedroom condo at the Sheraton Vistana during Spring Break for $875/week and another ad for a 1 bedroom for $650/week. That sounds too good to be true doesn't it? It looks like if I booked a room there, it would be closer to $200 a night. What gives?

I'd try www.windsorhillsrents.com and try for a condo. That place is a resort in itself and is very close to WDW. When you post your request ask for their "best price". It doesn't hurt to ask, and it saved us a bundle!

Lots of owners rent to cover their maintenance fees if they can't use or bank their condo...others just rent for rental "income".

Same for villa owners - some buy to have a vaction home, and rent it out when they're not using it - to cover costs.

Just like DVC, an OKW studio privately "rents" for $80-$100, value season...when rack rates from WDW would be in the $200+ range.

No catch, just do your homework, and a little reading:) Skyauction can be even cheaper for the Sheraton properties - but then you've got to sweat out an auction!! LOL! :goodvibes

Any questions, feel free:)

Forgive my ignorance OKW? Is that on WDW property? I'm assuming a OKW studio doesn't have a separate bedroom?

is Old Key West...and yep:), on property. It's part of the Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

They have studios - 2 queen beds, kitchenette, a larger hotel room type...
1 bedroom - 1 King bedroom, whirlpool tub, Washer/dryer, full kitchen, livingroom with a pull out couch..
2 bedroom - a 1 bdr, livingroom etc., with a studio as 2nd bedroom..
3 Bed Grand Villas - which are amazing!

Other DVC onsite properties are Beach Club Villas, Boardwalk Villas, Wilderness Lodge Villas, Saratoga Springs Resort

You can read all about 'em right here on the Dis:) "Home Away from Home Resorts", and more info about point rentals are on the DVC Rent/Trade Boards.

HTH!!
